As above, something that is fun, slightly addictive and is preferably free but if you know a sweet game that has a monthly, tri-monthly etc.. cost, my ears are open.

    You might want to try the Massively Multiplayer Online Extravaganza forum for these questions.

    Head over to the thread, pick up a free two-week trial. Some like it, some don't. The learning curve can be kinda steep (i had the basics in a couple of days, and i can be a slow learner), but she's a rewarding beauty if you can crack it.

    You should wait for Conan or Warhammer, IMO. But I've heard good things about the Lord of the Rings MMO if you really want one now (I think it's in open beta).
