Is my SSD dead?

I'm using Windows 8.1 and a Crucial M4 boot SSD. For the past week or so I've been getting the occasional BSOD with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION as the error. After looking this up online I updated the firmware of my SSD yesterday, rebooted and it seemed to be fine.

I switched on my PC today though and the SSD is not being recognised at all. Went into bios and made sure the boot priority but right but the drive isn't even being recognised as available. I've changed over the sata cable with my other storage drive that is working and nothing there either.

So it's fixed now! Either the power connector came loose and I wasn't putting it back in properly, or the advice of what was apparently a Crucial employee in a thread online to leave it plugged in without the data cable for 20 mins worked.

Either way this can be closed now!
