This is uncomfortably on the nose for a lot of people, I suspect.

This is commentary on how fleshed out the NPC's in the new LOTROCreed game, I'd guess?

Seems like a pretty cool game.

But I take issue with the picture "Chillin with my wargs" that does not include wargs. I am concerned that they have misidentified warg-riders as wargs themselves. We need a reference check on G&T's LOTRO cred.

What is this I don't even.

This reminds me. Why Caragor? Why not Wargs? To piss off Tolkien nerds?

@king0zymandias‌ Likely due to licensing. There's a huge crazy story behind the licenses of LoTR games - you either get the book OR the movie licenses, and it's very particular about what you can and can't cover. There's a really fascinating (and quite lengthy) read about it here: http://www.polygon.com/2014/9/23/6414775/lord-the-rings-tolkien-video-games

Also, the game recently patched in an excellent "Photo Mode", for some pretty sweet high-quality screenshots.

Why you gotta go and post awesome things such that I feel obliged to log in and recognize them?

That really was a pretty fascinating read, thanks! It has also instilled in me a non-zero interest in Shadows of Mordor, which was not expected.

That is a nice looking haunch.
I approve of SoM, caragors and all (even with the inclusion of Celebrimbor). The Professor would be delighted that the mythos inspired others to create art - since that is the whole point of it.

Some aspects of Shadow of Mordor were pretty much an Orc social media simulator.

    "Kugaluga has gained supporters!"
"Kugaluga has completed a hunt successfully!"
"Kugaluga is having a birthday party this Saturday!"

Was strange how these immoral monsters were the central focus of so much of the gameplay.

That article says WB has both licenses.

Each captain also has his motivations in the army page, which don't have anything to do with the gameplay.
