Alright, so for school I've got a bit of a rock concert set up. We've got about 2 and a half hours of showtime split between 4 bands, we also have a drum battle and a short (about 15 min) movie to show (insisted on by the school.) So anyway, I'm looking for REALLY cheap ways to make a concert better.
I have a fog machine left over from some old stuff, some spot lights, some glow sticks (for the bands to throw out into the crowd), a strobe light, and blacklights. Considering one of the bands is quite a dark and deep style of rock we decided the blacklights and fog machine would create a neat 'graveyard' type effect. As well we thought we'd mix in the other stuff as needed.
We are hoping to have a small mosh pit, but we dont really know how to go about encouraging one to form (although I have a feeling the glowsticks might pull people closer to the stage.) It's occuring in the auditorium with a budget of practically $0, so any ideas on how to encourage a mosh pit/improve the show in general would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
