My wife is heartbroken.
Due to bad timing, our newly adopted rescue dog arrived in our hometown today while we were out of state.
It's a 10 month old Basset Springer mix we rescued from Iowa... during the whole transfer process to our tennant (since we were out of town) the dog got loose.
The dog's been missing for three hours and a snow event is moving in rapidly. The dog just got into state so he has no idea where he is and who is his owner etc.
We've posted on Facebook, notified the county animal control etc... What else can we do?
We feel powerless stuck in Florida and the people looking are giving up because it's dark and nighttime.
We haven't even had a chance to meet the dog yet, and was hoping to give him a forever home since our other basset passed away last month.
He does have a microchip and we've notified the shelter/rescue org he has come from. He has tags but we think they are iowa tags.
