Composing HTML email

How do you create emails that use image maps and other HTML features? Outlook won't let you compose an HTML message directly from HTML source, are there any other freely available clients or webmail interfaces that do?

Hmm, well, Thunderbird has the option to insert straight HTML from the insert menu when composing a new mail message. Just place your cursor anywhere in the body of the email to insert.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
