on windows xp i just found a issue

i just downloaded penumbra overture and unzipped it, but it wouldn't play on my pc (not geforce compatable... errrr if you can solve this lemme know too) so i uninstalled the game and deleted the original file.

only it wont delete. or rather i can delete everything out of the folder, but the folder is still there. i cannot rename it or even move it, it says its in use no matter what i do. nothing in my system manager stand out as odd or strangely named like something would be in use... so how the hell do i delete the folder? its empty now, just the folder?

This happens all the freaking time to me. I have no idea what causes it, It normally goes away after a while or I restart. Sorry thats not much help but Id like an answer to this too. It mainly happens with Photoshop files for me.

This is a bug in Windows Explorer. Sometimes it will not know when it's finished using a file or folder, and leave the "handle" open. The fix is to close the handle for it. The way I used to do this is to run Process Explorer and show all the open handles, then search for the filename of the file or folder that cannot be changed. Inevitably it will be stupid old buggy Windows Explorer with a handle open to that file. I right click on the open handle, force it closed, ignore the warnings, and then the problem goes away. You can do whatever you want with the file or folder that was giving you issues.
