@Mim I have migraines, the pill would put me at high risk for stroke!
So
stickin' it outttt
ahh, i plan to speak to my gyno about it on the 19th and i guess wait and see IF the implant causes me to have constant periods and then get on the pill, as i don't think they'll give me the pill right off the bat to help ease the implant into a submissive stance with my hormones
but i'm secretly hoping to be part of the elusive 20%

I seem to recall this either being a hoax or a misunderstanding or a hyperbolic overreaction but I can't remember the details
Allegedly a voice of reason.

OH GUYS DID I TELL YOU ABOUT MY WEIRD UNDERARM
I'M SO EXCITED
IT'S EXCITING
AND KIND OF GROSS
SO I HAVE A LUMP IN MY UNDERARM AND LIKE IT'S BEEN THERE A WHILE AND SOMETIMES IT'S HUGE AND SOMETIMES IT'S SMALL AND SO
LIKE
MY DOCTOR POKED AT IT AND THINKS IT'S PROBABLY A BENIGN TUMOR AND THAT SOMETIMES IT PRESSES ON THE... TUBE THING... LYMPH.. OBJECT... WHATEVER IN MY UNDERARM THAT MAKES IT SWELL BUT LIKE
GUYS
I PROBABLY HAVE A BENIGN TUMOR
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS
IT MEANS
I AM MEDICALLY RECOMMENDED TO NEVER SHAVE MY UNDERARM AGAIN
There are a few different ones. I take one when I need it and I will say it completely gets rid of the migraine. It is pretty old one called imitrex. My mom takes it too and she has been taking off and on for 30 years.

Good deal! Glad it's benign and you had it checked out.

Hmm? We were talking about The Pill. Birth control. If you've ever had a vision-altering migraine you're never supposed to take the estrogen (Which is what would level out my period theoretically) b/c it puts you at high risk of stroke.

Did you both get the upper arm implant? Those things are badass. The pill is such a pain. I have a hormonal IUD. Periods only come every six weeks or so and are really variant. Not complaining though, I'm really happy with it overall.

i'm planning to get it. i thought about the IUD but knowing that the implant is even better than sterilization and the IUD's scary side effects (to moi) made me decide implant.

Literally my nightmare.
That is some serious weirdness. I would have loved to watch the diplomatic wrangling over that.
What pills were they suggesting?

According to my friend who posted it the original suggestion that the French turned down is that the guards would enforce Chinese law.
Extraterritoriality baby.
Also my source is pretty ocd about this stuff, getting his phd in Chinese politics.
