Well, everyone has had a day to travel and recover, so now its time.... What was your favorite Part of PAX SOUTH

For me it was BIOWARE BASE, GREYBOX After Party and the ATTENDEES not acting like wild animals from PAX EAST 2014

Running into Richard Garriott on the show floor on the first day was a great surprise for me and my party. We didn't know he was going to be there and when we spotted him we just like of did a jaw-drop and chatted with him for a few minutes about Shadow of the Avatar. He asked for our email addresses to get us into the game. That was a super cool moment.

The GW2 announcement of their expansion on day 2 was a big highlight for me as well, being a GW2 player.

I was going to say the same thing. He was just so nice and more then happy to talk about games with anyone that saw him.

For me it was the Shot of Ice & Fire pubcrawl. Met lots of great people during the house to house challenges. Oh and the Blizzard/Twitch party was great too, very cool to meet many of the most popular Twitch streamers in person. And of course the MTG, always love their presence at PAX. Oooo and Pinny Arcade pins. And seeing Abby. So a lot of stuff really, as always!

Handheld Lounge! Loved the 700 or so streetpasses and playing games with folks and making new friends =)

For me, the best part of each PAX (Prime, East, and now South) is pretty consistently the daily PA panels with Gabe and Tycho. Nobody banters like those guys, so it's my must-attend event each morning. I also enjoyed meeting the legendary Sid Meier for the first time, and both the pre-PAX and nightly board game sessions with new friends. I even picked up a copy of Paperback--a game that never would have appeared on my radar--and I've already played several games with friends who are now hooked. LOL

@Japester Awesome, you have any details of the game? PAX is definitely about finding the Diamond in the Rough

Paperback, Dolarrah? Plenty of online resources (boardgamegeek, Youtube, and the official game site). It was part of the Indie Tabletop Showcase, so it already had the Gabe and Tycho seal of approval. :-) Simplest description is "Scrabble + Dominion = Paperback". It's a word building card game at its core, but it has basic deck-building components and some optional offensive abilities to spice things up. They sold out at the show, but they are printing more.

Oh shit! Sid Meier was there?
Man I wish I'd been able to make it to the Firaxis panel.
Civ was huge in my childhood.

Oh I'm a bit late, but hope it is still okay to say. It was my first PAX so it's hard for me to pick one thing, especially since I felt like I poorly managed my time and barely viewed the Expo hall. So I mostly saw panels, but I think my favorite parts was getting to meet "famous" people. Like Mike and Jerry at the autograph signing, Jesse Cox, Crendor, and Dodger at the Friendzone autograph signing, and meeting and I'd like to say hanging out, but in hindsight I might have been what I learned is called a "booth barnacle" but I'm new to the con scene so I'm not certain, Tavis Maiden in Bandland.
