You know I just realized something, what does Bray do after Mania? Assuming he beats Taker and becomes the official new demonic character of WWE where does he go then? Does he get a title run this year?
If Bray beats Taker and Reigns beats the guy who beat Taker, they have a thing going right away

The issue there is it would interfere with Seth's cash in.

Not really
If Bray went after Roman it would keep Roman from going straight back to feuding with Seth to get the title back
Then Seth could get Bryan or Dean instead
Like eventually cool it off so Dean gets his feud reignited but the whole Shield break-up and eventual triple threat should be the marquee storyline from post-WM till Summerslam

Here's another potential THE GUY we haven't mentioned in awhile; Big E. He's still easily salvageable if they want to push him to the top and he's got the skills to thrive I think. He deserves the chance at the very least.
Still not tall enough. Also, black.
Come on now.
I am dead fucking serious.
Vince likes his guys to be not only super bulky, but also taller than most. Big E would need to grow 2-3 inches to have a chance.
Also, he's black. You have to have a ridiculous amount of charisma and presence to get over as a black guy in the WWE, and you can triple that if you want Vince to actually like you and consider you to be worthy of a push.

I've heard Ahmed Johnson described in many ways, but "having three times ridiculous amounts of charisma and presence" is a new one even for me.

He won the Intercontinental Championship once.
He was not a multiple-time WWEWHC title holder with along and distinguished career at the top like John Cena. Or HHH. Or Randy Orton. Or Steve Austin...

There have been exceptions for sure, but there has never really been what I would call a diverse slate to hold the big belt in WWF/E. Then again a lot of WWE's performers of different ethnicities have either been saddled with a stereotype gimmick that is hard to take to the main event ( Samoan savage, inner city criminal etc..), have been hampered by the language barrier (notably Asian performers) or have been hampered by a lack general lack of promo skills at a time when a good manager wasn't available to carry that load ( Shelton Benjamin for example).
I don't think the Vince and the WWE by extension are overtly racist...but I do think suffer from a low brow/ easiest out methodology of writing that impairs talent that they don't think is easy to market.
Inside of a dog...it's too dark to read.

Ahmed was a walking injury and that's what ruined him, but they were ready to strap the rocket to him. He won the IC title within a year of his debut, he was scheduled to work a World title program with the Undertaker, he was very much the number two face in the company until he ran into kidney trouble.

I'm not buying into this whole narrative that Daniel Bryan's not going to be the top guy. Steve Austin was never supposed to be the guy. Eddie Guerrero was never supposed to be the guy. Believe it or not John Cena was never supposed to be the guy. This shit isn't over by a long shot.

Yes, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a man who is exceptionally charismatic and can command the attention of an entire stadium full of people just by raising his eyebrow and after his career in the WWE has gone on to become a huge star in Hollywood despite being a 7/10 actor. He's also 6 foot 5 and is a huge and muscley guy, even back in the 2000s.

Part of me thinks Vince wonders what would have happened if he had chosen Lex Luger over Bret Hart, and this is his chance to find out.

I think that could be an angle down the line. But I think first what Bray needs to do once he beats Taker is just destroy someone. Just a one sided beat down. Like someone lower card gets in his way and he just breaks them and sends them to the injured reserve list. Bray gets drunk on the power of the urn and the love of Sister Abigail.
Then bring in the avenging knight to face off with the new dark lord.
@Ken O@MrDapper have either of you been to an nxt house show? if yes, how was it?
They are a lot of fun! I've even convinced some non-wrestling fans to come with me each month. It's also a great place to go if you want to see Ty Dillinger have a new gimmick literally every time he comes out.
yeah im getting a coworker to go with me. it's like 15 minutes away from my house so im stoked.

how long before the show are the meet n greets?
I'm not entirely sure, the one I got into I was last in line and also got lucky to get in that spot. Go at least an hour before. Maybe hour and a half.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are no shortages of offers for Samoa Joe. Joe already has several dates booked with ROH, but there is also interest from WWE, AAA, Lucha Underground and New Japan Pro Wrestling. It’s believed that the NJPW deal could see Joe work in NOAH first and then working New Japan. As far as WWE goes, it is said that there are “active talks” between the two sides.
It's awesome to hear Joe is getting so many great offers. I'm a little surprised that WWE is interested, considering how they passed on AJ Styles, but then, Joe is supposedly pretty friendly with Man-E-H's.
Also I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it since I was out of the loop for a bit, but last night on NXT the announce team REALLY put over Becky Lynch and Bailey and the women's division. Also a commercial for next week's NXT, which features the return of Sami Zayn, was entirely centered around Charlotte/Sasha for the women's nxt title.
Hopefully that's a positive sign of things to come!
I really like them too. I don't particularly love the Authority as a group (though that may have more to do with Kane and Big Show) but I freaking love anytime Steph and Triple H talk.
I'm interested on how HHH and Steph are utilized on television once the whole Authority thing crumbles for good. I want them to stick around and heel things up, but not be the primary antagonist every week.
And the situations everybody's in doesn't help leading up to Mania at least.
The top 3 matches are Reigns/Brock (one of whom is now hated by the audience, and the other won't be on half the shows between now and then), HHH/Sting (one of whom may physically show up one more time between now and then), and Bray/Taker (one of whom won't be on TV at all between now and then)
But the fact that it would NOT be hard to ADR NXT commentary and cut together a promo between Monday and Wednesday means that maybe they are acknowledging the brand problem and this was the quickest turnaround to address it? That's all I was implying, that it may have been a showing of good faith.

There's no problem with booking them, for at least a while, as heels grasping at straws to get one over on everyone.
I've honestly grown kind of tired of The Authority because they never seem threatened. The most exciting thing they've done in a long time is lament their upheavel, and their desperate attempts to not lose at Survivor Series were pretty dramatic.
They've grown tiresome constantly coming out and screwing everyone over. They can still be corporate heels cutting promos, but they can do so from a place of weakness and regrouping.

Bobby Lashley, you mean that guy they pushed once and then dropped like a hot shit? Who had far more success in TNA?
Wasn't he in a programm with cena before he got injured and then quit on his own ?
