Portable folding keyboard and mouse table?

I can't seem to find this. Or rather, I can find something like this but it's ridiculously priced.

I'm trying to find a no frills folding table that I can use when I want to use my mouse and keyboard in front of my TV rather than at my desk in front of my monitor. I don't have TOO much additional space, so I'm really just looking for a small folding desk similar to a folding laptop table, but those are generally not wide enough. They make tons and tons and tons of folding laptop tables, but nothing explicitly for keyboard and mouse that isn't in the $150+ price range as far as I can find.

Which is ridiculous. I have a small wooden folding table from Walmart for dining and that's like $10. That's all I need, but something a bit longer that can support a keyboard and mouse. Basically, I need an item similar to a keyboard tray, but as its own table rather than a tray.

I'm willing to entertain non-conventional ideas. It doesn't have to be designed for computer use, or wooden, or anything. I just want something that is at knee height when sitting and like 2-2.5 feet wide.

Any ideas? Oh and nothing that sits on your lap. That is not comfortable for me. It needs to stand on the floor.

I used to use one I found at a Target for $20-30, but I'm not sure that it's big enough for what you're doing. I'd avoid OfficeMax / Staples but most general stores should have something suitable.

I had this problem for a while and found a solution. I got a nice, smooth sanded wood shelf from Ikea and scrwed it into the top of a sissal wrapped cat pillar. My cats get a thing that they can claw that isn't furniture, I get something that is remarkably sturdy (since they have wide bases to keep them from falling over) that I can put my surface on without getting in the way of my legs (most of those folding ones have flimsey legs that get in the way if you are pretty tall).

Make it so you can remove the trestle so you can shove them into the closet when you are done or something. an easy way to shop for the stand itself is to shop for electric keyboard stands:

I use a tray like this as a portable desk as well and it does the job.
