Apparently this is finally getting a wide release this weekend. I may go to the South Florida showing.

I dread horror, but the throwback synth and atmosphere seems too great to ignore.

You may want to avoid any details going in, but just in case...

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 93%
Directed by David Robert Mitchell

Also www.allcityx.com has bonus Richie Beckett posters. (Limited to 50 blue and 100 cream).

What are the spoiler rules for this thread? If it's for free discussion of the film, not having to tag everything is probably preferable, but it's up to you. Whatever you'd prefer, you should probably indicate it in the post or thread title.

I would say tag anything pertaining to the film. Heck, I think I know too much. Use good judgment.

    Just got back from it.

Yeah, it's a keeper. Very unsettling. Fantastic music, cinematography was on point too.

    Best part:
the school. The subtlety of its approach from outside as the camera pans around, and then it's just closer, in the background.

That scene had such a driving sense of paranoia to it. They did a really good follow fake out too.

The more I think about it, I realize the film's strength is respecting the audience's intelligence. So many scenes are ambiguous and left to the viewer's imagination.
Did she have sex with the people on the boat? Did he get a prostitute?
Does it even make any difference?
