Closeted due to family issues, economic issues, brain issues, having to stay stealth to avoid persecution or a billion other reasons, we need to let the world know we exist

    So I guess this is a good day and thread to say this.

    I'm a DMAB transgender woman. It's something that I've been struggling with since I was 10 or so and I've always pushed it away for one reason or another. However in the recent years I've met some incredible people (some here on this very forum) and now I feel confident in who I am. I'm still not out to any of my family and most of my friends, but I hope that I can tell them who I am soon.

    I'm of the mindset that trans women of color need to be the primary focus of trans activism

    which makes more folk uncomfortable than it should, imo

    i know what tube has said about changing people's names in the past, but it might be worth it to at least float the idea and see what he has to say. you've got a slightly better reason for wanting to change it than WeedLordVegeta would, so i imagine he'd at least hear you out
