The long-running French classic, by Araquis Hirohique, JoJo, began in 1986 and is published in monthly anthology Ultra Jump.
The series follows flamboyant characters named after rock bands popular in America and Europe, contemporary to the stories being told. The main characters are of the Joestar family.
Araquis's work has been featured in the Louvre. Truly a French classic artist
There's also a video game, All-Star Battle, which features gorgeous and accurate renderings of Araquis's art. It is as if each drawing is created in fluid sculpture! Magnifique.
