I'm of the opinion that rampant speculation regarding game mechanics (especially in the first day) is better than shutting people down who try to speculate.
It creates conversation and posts to go back to once mafia die.
You know who wants people to be quiet and not talk? Mafia. Because then they can hide in the silence.
Mafia make "look I'm helping" posts so that they're actually appearing to contribute but are counter-contributing to the discussion at large, and not calling people out on that or questioning it is what complacent villages die by.
right, so maybe you should encourage those posts so the mafia leaves evidence
not shut the first person who makes a speculation post down so the mafia are scared away from doing the same

Okay my for realsies vote is based mostly off this post. Like, I'm all for pointless fluff posting, especially on day one (and yes I'd be a massive hypocrite if I wasn't~), but I dunno, but something about this feels a bit uh .. guilty conscience I suppose. Like it seems like it's trying to be a bit too ironic. I dunno. The fact that it was followed up with an "If I were mafia..." post didn't help, though I'd have been willing to give that the benefit of the doubt since it was a direct response to an accusation, but still the original post itself kinda pinged me.
