I was writing a post about the direction of the latest GoT episodes - last one, pretty good, the one before that, pretty shabby - and such, but that got ate by the not-at-all-annoying way Vanilla locks threads, so here's this
Now Playing:
Celeste [Switch] - She'll be wrestling with inner demons when she comes...
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age [Switch] - Sit down and watch our game play itself
I wish the ironic mark was a real punctuation thing.
i mean this to be helpful and not buttful but if people are having difficulty distinguishing your sarcasm from your serious posting, it might be an issue with how similar those things appear
Does anyone know any butchers that will pay a premium for catmeat?
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

I watched the latest two episodes of Game of Thrones yesterday, with a crowd who had mostly not seen them, and one guy who hadn't seen anything
his complaints were actually pretty cogent - he was annoyed at the grey colour correction of one episode, I argued against him saying that it's important for the show to make it visually clear where a scene takes place, but he had a good point that I didn't really notice until he complained - too busy to just catch what was happening - that the director of the episode before last made use of nothing but super boring shots. First thing he said when starting the latest episode was, that's how you do dark and grey. You show the misty, dark terrain in the background.

The thing is, I'm very rarely earnest and serious here. People should always assume that I haven tongue in my cheek as I post.

This is helpful! Hmm. Maybe try using winky emoticons more? Emoticons are actually really helpful to communicate context clues in frivolous/joking messages, if people aren't super-familiar with you, or - as seems to be happening - they've got the wrong impression.
