I think we had the Inverse Ninja Rule working against us this Splatfest.
Conservation of Ninjitsu. And even if Ninjas had 99% of the popularity they still would have lost with the x6 multiplier.
The one thing these past few Splatfests have taught me is that if you're constantly getting matched against players on your team then it really isn't worth your time to put in any more effort than what is required to reach King/Queen. And if you're dead set on winning you should watch some streams to see how the matchmaking is for the Splatfest since it is easy to discern which team is most popular (and choose the other team because popularity is a liability), especially with the multiplier change.

Enemy team didn't seem to have any airstrikes, and I was able to take the tower and hold it with the Heavy Splatling Deco. (Which, on a side note, both of the new guns have Krakens & point sensors if anyone was wondering.)
We ended up winning something like 75%-10%.

Oi, the voice chat thing again. And then the comment that they use skype and say it feels unfair... because it is bro!
Also the Squid sisters only suck if you turn off and start up the game multiple times. But even then you can skip through everything pretty quickly. Takes just a few seconds to get past their dialog. There should be a "skip" option though.
Why does it seem like the Tentatek Splattershot is always killing me like 5:1
I tend to get splated by the Inkzooka way more then the weapon itself. I also don't see the Tentatek that often anymore during my usual play hours (99% of players have moon runes in their name), most shooters are running the .52 and .96 Gal Deco, followed by the N-Zap '85 and Splash-o-Matic.
Hell, I think I've seen more of the Splattershot Jr and vanilla Splattershot running around than the Tentatek and Octoshot.

I was under the impression the Splatling IS still technically considered a charger-class weapon. It just shoots a barrage of shots after charging instead of one long shot.

The Splatling may not be technically defined as a Charger, but I consider it to be the parallel version of the Blasters and the Inkbrushes as they relate to the Shooters and Rollers, respectivelyr: plays wildly differently due to some significant difference in their behavior, but ultimately having the same interface. A Splatling is a chargeable weapon with high accuracy, long range, and lousy mobility while charging, and will play almost identically to a Charger in actual practice. The biggest difference is in how it responds to partial charge.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
I'm not sure a Splatling even needs to charge slower or hit harder than the Heavy Splatling...unless you enjoy being charger/blaster food. On the flip side, I imagine most of the Hydra users for the next few days will be doing their best to annoy the shit out of chargers whilst pretending to be E-Liters.

Came back to the game after a while last night. Picked up the Custom Range Blaster and did quite well with it, though it may have been the choice of stages. It does well on Urchin Underpass especially, zoning your opponents is quite helpful, and the Kraken is ever useful as a panic button. It still sucks for coverage in turf wars, but i felt it worked better when i played very aggressively with it in the first 30 seconds, clear a path to the center and try to disrupt the enemy's first wave.

The Luna Blaster and focusing entirely on flanking and killing the other team while my teammates work on the objective has gone a long way for me.
God Im rusty. Came back to get the Hydra but was shirt 800 clams. Barely cracked 900 with my aerospray.
Also the hydra doesnt roar and in still fear while charging I hope they patch that bug soon
I've never heard anybody say that money was an issue. Or are you relatively new to the game? I have 800,000+ and they really can't introduce stuff faster than i can earn money anymore. There was an inflection point i hit somewhere and my funds just skyrocketed.

According to tumblr, it charges slower than the normal splatlings, but hits harder. Comes with Echolocators and Splat Bombs.
