Image inside url tags not linking properly

Not sure if this is even a bug with the forum or with Chrome, but I noticed an issue I hadn't seen before with this post

http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/comment/32658761/#Comment_32658761

Which simply posted the bbcode
[url="http://www.temptationcandy.com/"][img]http://i.imgur.com/D6I409b.png[/img][/url]

As you can see it should post a picture and clicking the picture brings you to a website, but for me it doesn't do this. I think it may be because the image is large dimensionally so Chrome needed to resize it to fit on my screen, but when I moused over the image the url preview in the bottom left corner of my window was the url to image and clicking the image opened it in a new tab. However, if I moused over the blue "This image has been resized to fit this page. Click to enlarge." text the url preview was http://www.temptationcandy.com and clicking the text brought me to the website.

I even brought screencaps to show this, too! Spoiler'd for boring
Can't see the mouse, but it's sitting in the middle of POUND in the image

The mouse in this screencap is over the blue Click text.

    The ability to resize the image on click overrides the link. The image resizing is part of the forum's software, so I'm not sure if it could be fixed without turning that feature off.

    Yeah I think the answer is "use smaller images" or place the link outside of the image itself.
