I'm already getting tired of people around the internet who feel the need to announce how much they, in fact, do not care about Final Fantasy 7 and that it is a bad game and anyone happy today is wrong.

I've spent the last 15 years preparing for this day, constantly exposing myself to low levels of FF7 haters, in order to gradually build up an immunity

Me too. They're the fucking worst. It goes beyond jaded into some weird pod person mentality where no one can be happy about video games.

I honestly didn't really want a remake to happen because of the hurdles that there's gonna be, like what's gonna change, how much do you keep to make it feel the same and all that to the point where I just figured it'd be a perpetual whining factory more than anything. I was just super not interested.
Then they announced it and I'm fucking hyped anyway and I don't give a shit, it's gonna be rad.
I'm a little sad everyone seems down on Dreams, I thought it was the most fascinating concept this E3 (so far anyway).
I think it could be used to do some neat things. The amount of crazy stuff people've pulled off with Source Filmmaker is pretty broad; it could be interesting to see collaborative work that has even more potential to dive into insanity.
I never understood why people were convinced the remake wouldn't happen.
It's basically a guaranteed success and the assets they make they can do their usual "make sequels using them" routine with.
I think it's less "FF7 remake will never happen" and more "stop talking about the FF7 remake if you aren't going to do it, Square." They have been "hinting" at doing this since before Advent Children in 2005. That's ten years of annual "maaaaybe we'll do this guys! Eh? Ehhhhhhh?" from Square and that gets sorta annoying when they don't actually pull the trigger.
I'll preorder it and pick it up at the first ten minutes of release day, most folk will, but that doesn't make the bait and switch for the last few years go away.
Although I haven't watched the press conferences, there just isn't much lined up that has me excited at all. Horizons looks like a cool monster hunter/dark souls esque game in a cool setting, never really played a Fallout game before so Fallout 4 isn't too much on my radar, and the plethora of shooters just look boring. The new Hitman game has a cool trailer, but it is just a trailer and I haven't played those games, so...
Is there something that I may not have seen that looks cool as shit?

The last FF I played was 12. It was fun.

Do you not care about my caring or lack thereof?
Satans..... hints.....
If FFXV is out in 2016, 2017 is possible. I'm still betting on 2018.
edit: Apparently, that's in October.
I thought it was before Gamescom for some reason.
So hopefully it's not that late.
...because I liked FF8 the best.
Pity me.
There'll be no remake for little homer
Negative seconds.
There will be a sequel where all you do is collect Triple Triad cards.
My heart can't take that.

My thinking was that if they were gonna do anything, it would just be Theatrythm: Chrono.
But this E3 cranked shit up to 11 so who even knows.

This is what is hilarious to me is that it really is now pretty much the only one left in one fell swoop.
That graph is really misleading, which is not your fault (it's probably Gawker's fault).

250 point bump is pretty huge still, but not as huge as it appears.
Really want to play Firewatch
