Penny Arcade - PATV - DLC Podcast Show – The Possibilities
It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen, those times when the comic in the podcast and the comic that becomes a jpeg don't match up. I've sometimes wondered and created imaginary scenarios about what had happened that the changes were made. There was also the infamous (not infamous, but notable) untitled podcast, which was quite interesting, but produced no comic.
Inner thoughts aside, two notes of interest.
Playing a game in a place that is not typical for playing games seems like a pretty fly thing. I wouldn't mind playing a game of anything, maybe something along the lines of chess or solitaire, while falling from the sky. Without the fatal landing part at the end because that might ruin anything I had scheduled for that day.
At the same time, I'm wondering how far you can go into an environment where you play games without it becoming detrimental to the gameplaying experience. As a larva, I used to nail a bedspread over my window on a daily basis as well as throw a pillow on the crack under the doorway so as to allow me to play a game in perfect darkness, absent of any distraction. The only thing that existed in my pitch black room was the screen. It might be troublesome if the virtual world I am playing in is, in a manner not dissimilar to my very real and nonvirtual adult life, always providing interruptions that keep me from enjoying myself. It almost seems like a Molyneuxvian thing, to introduce unneeded and unrelated features that make playing the game harder to do.
