The day after the theft happened, we had our agent investigate, which told us the thief came from somewhere in South America. Since it would be...super weird to have NPC nations doing major actions like that, it limits the pool to either Argentina and Brazil. Our military adviser, @Farangu , gave this exact information to the thread the day we got it. The two countries in question denied involvement (which, like, of course they would; any of our nations would do the same in their position), and then the entire matter was pushed aside to deal with what some people said were more important matters.
At this point I'm not even concerned about punishment (a zombie apocalypse makes sanctions feel a bit quaint, and the UN equivalent of community service would be far more useful anyway). I just want to know who did it.

I won't speak for my Chancellor or our Diplomat, but as a military man, I'm angry that someone would resort to theft at this point. We are fighting for our lives over here in Germany, so it is baffling that someone feels it important to steal from another major nation.
On the war front, I need to report that we had a major interaction with the viral creatures as they attempt to cross the French border in Germany. We have successfully held them off with limited casualties but I can only foresee more aggression on their part in the future. Therefore, we will need to answer their aggression with our own. Germany will be committed to taking any action necessary to push these creatures away from our border.
Since the end is in sight (for better or for worse) I just want to say: Gumpy, I've played Phalla and I've played Mafia, I've played BSG play by post, but this has been the most fun I've ever had in a forum game.
It probably helps that I've been a hands off premier and all of Russian's players have been great about being active and communicating, which left me free to make organizational choices. Maybe for the next Megagame having more hosts would be helpful to keep the burden down.
