Alright, in the spirit of The Last Guardian hype my friend Mike and I have started a Let's Play of Ico!

We're playing the HD Remastered version on the Playstation 3, and are going in mostly blind (Mike played it long ago but doesn't really remember anything).

I'm planning on doing regular updates, ideally daily.

to answer your query thing in the episode: no, Ico isn't speaking "Japanese", but it is a fake language that is basically a deformed kind of Japanese that would sound familiar to a Japanese audience

the language the girl speaks is a weird runic thing based on (I think) romanising Japanese, then spelling it backwards and pronouncing it as such

Yeah, I found out later that Ico isn't actually speaking Japanese (I think from chat, actually).

I'm going to have to disagree with you on the second bit though simon she's definitely speaking Wingdings and I will not be convinced otherwise.
