Fox showed footage of Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse, but while their footage has leaked out too, Fox hasn't officially released it on the web yet.
There's also a Batman film directed by Ben Affleck tentatively scheduled for 2017 or 2018 and the Green Lantern movie in 2020 will be titled "Green Lantern Corps"
Hey, I got a weird request. Does anyone know of a website that will display the publishing history of the marvel universe? Like, something that will visually show how many books Marvel was publishing at a given time and how long they were published for. I don't care so much about the Timely stuff, just the 1961 superhero era and onward.
Spencer's Ant Man is real good. How many issues were out so far?
Five, with an annual due out this week.

I'm not seeing any of Heath Ledger in Leto's Joker performance, not comic book Joker either, but the movie thread finally crystallized what he feels like to me.
The appearance is certainly....different from previous renditions, but I feel like it's less evocative of the Joker character. The grills and random tattoos don't really feel Joker-y - it's almost like looking at a dude who thought the Joker was super rad and got a whole bunch of trademark quotes and images tattooed on himself because the Joker is cool.
He feels like some guy who was the Joker's self-appointed Number One Fan and decided to make himself the new Joker after the real one disappeared. The Joker version of "Commie Smasher" Captain America.

I didn't realize until now how locked down Marvel has that Cinco de Mayo weekend.

And the Leto Joker looks like it was designed by deviant-art.

Starting in 2017 they're going to be releasing Star Wars movies in late May too; so they're basically going to own that month.

Wait, how is DC going to handle having a movie Flash and a TV Flash? Are they the same Flash?
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I guess since it is 3 years away DC is expecting the Flash tv show to have ended? Although considering how long Smallville went on the only reason I'd expect The Flash to end before 2018 is if they planned on telling a complete story by then. A smart move, since any viewers will likely stick around watching the other Arrow-verse shows so they won't lose many viewers. It's a bit like the early Marvel movies, with each show building the fanbase for the next.

The ending to the most recent series of Arrow
Could pretty much end the entire show nicely so it wouldn't be too bad to shift all the viewers to the Flash.
So there was a discussion on another board about Marvel's "Epic" line, specifically in regards to which female character would receive the first "Epic" volume. I went through a list of most popular characters and pulled out all the names of female characters and looked up solo books on the Marvel wikia. Using Heroes Reborn (November 1996) as a cutoff point (since that seems to be the "unofficial" endpoint for Epics at the moment) its kinda depressing.
Out of the 28 women I looked at (Black Widow, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Dazzler, Crystal, Emma Frost, Enchantress, Firestar, Invisible Woman, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Kitty Pryde, Meggan, Mockingbird, Moonstone, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), Polaris, Psylock, Magik, Moonstar, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters), Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), Spider-Woman (Julie Carpenter), Rachael Summers, Rogue, Sif, Storm and Wasp) only FIVE had more than 10 pre Onslaught issues.
From least issues to most we have
#5 - Scarlet Witch (20 issues)
1982-1983 – 4 issues (Vision and the Scarlet Witch)
1985-1986 – 12 issues (Vision and the Scarlet Witch)
1994 – 4 issues
Black Widow would be #6 if I include the 16 issues of Daredevil when it got renamed to "Daredevil and Black Widow" since she only had a single one-shot she shared with Nick Fury.
Hey guys I will only mention it quickly because I don't wanna shill

I don't think I'm ready for Hawkeye to actually be over tomorrow
I can't believe we got 4 issues of the next volume before the last one finished.
All-New Hawkeye #4 doesn't come out until next week!!
So it was only THREE issues of the new version of Hawkeye released between the penultimate and final issue of the original Hawkeye, thank you very much

Man. Just man.
Thankfully things have improved a LOT since then.
Black Widow shared "Amazing Adventures" with the Inhumans for a bit in the 70s, but that only lasted like 8 issues I think.

I... actually don't hate that Fantastic Four trailer? I think if it wasn't using the F4 license I'd actually be excited for it, and as is I think I'm starting to see glimpses of a superhero team in there. I don't like Doom's look, and if the "hactivist blogger" stuff is true that's super lame, but otherwise... this might be good?
I especially like the impression I'm getting that Sue is one of the leading voices on the team pushing them to work together/be heroes, and her powers look awesome.
edit: seriously, if this movie gives us a heroic, badass Sue Storm that pulls the team together I will happily give them a ticket sale.

Yeah, Channing Tatum has been cast and they apparently had a new logo at Comic-Con.
He's being played by Jai Courtney, who was born Sydney, so that's cool.

Nooooope!

Nope.
In fact they announced the actor for the movie Flash on the same day the TV flash premiered, IIRC.

Everytime I watch one of these, I go "Well, it doesn't look horrible..." then I'm reminded about what they're doing with Doom.
Seriously, 2:21, what the hell did they do to you, Doom.

unfortunately ms chilla is suffering from superhero movie burnout
so I probably won't get to see it for a while
You gonna miss Ant-Man too?
Its really not feasable to go "sorry hun I'm gonna ditch you for 3 hours of our limited together time and go see this by myself"
But I got to see a lot of the summer movies I wanted to so not too bad
