Everyone has their gripe with the usage of a certain character. Some character that appears constantly as if only to irk those of us who are unfortunate enough not to be a fan. I was just watching a bit of Spider-man:TAS and I realized how much I dislike The Thing. I don't really know why. I just down right don't like the character.
I really dislike Iron Man, even prior to the whole Civil War thing. To me there was nothing really remarkable about him, he was just a dude in a suit.
Ultimate Iron Man is pretty neat though. An alcoholic with inoperable cancer makes for a surprisingly funny guy in an awesome suit.
I could also never really understand the love behind Wolverine. He was just a dude that could heal really fast with knives in his fists and a bad temper. There's nothing really awesome about it. Out of all the Weapon X characters I'd have to say I prefer Deadpool or Sabertooth.

Origin is the exact same as my Steam, in case you're needing a Support or Assault in BF3.
I don't like the Fantastic Four. But I like the Thing. I've never read the series much. But I like the idea of Ben, immensely powerful, with an unlovable exterior and a lonely aching soul. Who finds catharsis only during "CLOBBERIN' TIME!". I like to imagine Doctor Doom as being kind of like House.
Superman bores the shit out of me. Indestructable= no drama. Whatsoever.
I like the concept of Captain America. The execution thereof has never really done it for me. But he's just so damn Iconic. I like the idea of him being this obedient soldier boy that is the living embodiment of patriotism, I like the total right-wingedness of him, minus the evangelical nonsense. I like the implication of an absolute right. I say this as a very apathetic, largely nihilistic person.
I have been weary of Jean Grey for a VERY long time. She's the ultimate being but she KEEPS FUCKING DYING. And coming back, without unlimited power. Then regaining it. Then dying. Sure, that's the pheonix mythology. But I would not mind if they stowed the drama.

I totally agree. Everytime the phoenix is reborn, a part of me dies inside. I mean, its part of an iconic storyline .. I get that .. but .. the X-Men comics never really moved past it and are worse off for it.
Captain America: Boring. Hell, I found Union Jack more interesting.
Iron Man: He's a dude in a suit. Mind you, now he's got that Extremis thing going for him, so now he's an overpowered dude in a suit. So he's not boring, per se, but still a dude in a suit.
Fantastic Four: Never got into them. Invisible Girl, woo hoo. So lame, they had to give her another power to make up for her lameness. The Thing is just a rock dude, Reed could be the most interesting person if they hadn't made him a boring scientist, and Human Torch is just annoying. I mean, how long has the FF been around the Torch and Thing are still making lame jokes about each other? Come on, people.
JSA: Never saw the appeal. Geriatric Superheroes for the most part, and some others thrown in just to keep things fresh I assume.
Flash: This will make me unpopular, but I don't care. Flash should be more kickass than he actually is. I mean, c'mon. You can run at the speed of sound. You can clothesline people's heads off at that speed. I just can't understand how often the guy gets caught by villians. Just keep running at supersonic speeds and give the villian a flick on a run-by and he's in the ICU for 3 months.
Sentry. If you're going to make someone that powerful and have that chaotic a mindset, take the time to put him in a decent fucking story instead of making him a last resort plot device.
It's really hard to find a bad picture of her besides the one from the show, but this should suffice:
I've always fucking hated her for absolutely no reason. I just don't like her. At Megacon I yelled at some chick cosplaying as her.
But just look at those nipples and her camel toe! How can you hate something like that? HOW?!
I agree on the statement that Sentry sucks.
He had the potential to be fucking awesome. He had the potential to be what Moon Knight is now! But it all we got was a be-all-end-all super emo n00b. He didn't even keep the beard. Gah!

This is a terrible picture with which to display your dislike of Huntress. That's like five million times hotter than I've ever seen her look. I mean, rowr.
As for my own dislike: Superman. He's one of the most popular heroes, but he really does very little for me. The only stories I have about him, I bought because of the creative team, not because of Superman.

That's almost certainly a porn tracing that someone painted over. Hot pictures are negated by lack of skill.
I dont know if anyone really likes him but Robin destroys batman for me... He just doesnt fit the image... they spend so much effort going on about how he chose bats so that he can strike fear into the hearts of evildoers... then all of a sudden it's "and this is my sidekick... ROBIN" ?!?!? oooooh, scary. A kid in slippers, speedos and a vest.
please.

I don't dislike Robin, but I have wondered about this myself. I'd love to know Batman's reasoning for letting Robin wear that garish costume if anyone has any insight.
As for characters I dislike, I pretty much hate all of Apokolips. Why does everyone in that place have names you would expect of 80s heavy metal band members?

Batman knows he'll never "win" his war on crime. He has a Robin so he will have a replacement when he dies.

I get him as a character... I just don't like him much... which, I thought, was the point of the post. Its more the style over the substance thing.
Is this one of those places wherein you try to establish indy cred or something?
I'm really not that big of a fan of most of the popular characters. I have not read a lot of their books, but I have not really had a reason to. I find myself generally following creators rather than characters.
Spider-Man. Ugh, I don't even know where to start with him. He has a decent rouges gallery though (oh Mysterio, I can't ever get mad at you) but if I wanted a hero with good villians i'd just read Flash.
I liked Wolverine alot growing up, but now with him being in every single comic ever as well as having the mystery of his past raped I'm ignoring him. la la la la
I used to dislike Superman, the whole 'invincible-super-mega-power = no drama' complaint, but after reading a few more TPB I got a better feel for the character and don't mind him (on the record, Batman still pwns him)

Or Daredevil.
Seconded. I find him completely and absolutely boring.

I'm glad he's dead I really am.
FINE. lawl.

I like Wolverine but I can't really defend him.

Jessica Drew.
I find them completely boring.

That's all for now.
If anything were to make you unpopular, I think it'd be that, not the Flash.
And I will eventually destroy those who mentioned them. Amazingly.
That said, I dislike Wonder Woman and Apocalypse.
I still say he should've been in Annihilation rather than Civil War, just fighting separately from the main forces or something.
I agree on the statement that Sentry sucks.

edit: Thor was hit or miss. He sure went out with a fucking bang, which made up for all the hokeyness of the past.

I hate the fuck out of Deadpool
Good thing your opinion doesn't matter.
Having said that:
Superman
All of the JSA
Magneto
Venom
Carnage
The Thing
or Indestructable= more drama because villains can't just be "I'm going to kill you, Superman!"
no, they're like "I'm going to go back in time and punch your mom in the stomach when she finds your spaceship!"
Ms. Marvel
No real reason, just that I find myself actually skipping over anything they say without knowing it.
PARKER, YOU'RE FIRED! <-- My comic book podcast! Satan look here!
The whole "earth mother" thing she has doesn't do anything for me. It's more a "not fond of" than a dislike though.
Same here, and Wolverine

Yes, it's true, this man has no penis.
I'd have to say Deadpool.
