PC: (9/28/22)
Mobile/Console: TBD

Additions/Changes:
- Worlds where Moon Lord has been defeated now show a golden border on the world selection menu
- Added one new achievement

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed some serverconfig options being completely ignored when running servers
- Fixed a major scaling issue with Journey mode universally having increased stats on enemies
- Fixed an issue causing players to infinitely use some items without being able to stop
- Fixed an issue where rescuing certain slimes as the 8th would not unlock The Great Slime Mitosis achievement
- Fixed character selection not properly applying dyes to players who had dyed pets
- Fixed a bug that gave an incorrect death message when killed by Jellyfish Shock Attacks
- Added a failsafe so that broken trees in worldgen will be fixed
- Fixed Paint Scraper not working with Smart Cursor when removing coatings
- Fixed some monoliths not properly being "pushed down" into the ground
- Fixed some liquid rendering issues when in reverse gravity
- Fixed the change to Chain's recipe from 10->15 not working. It should now properly give 15.
- Fixed an issue where Magic Quiver's knockback bonus rounded down, which actually nerfed most Knockback values
- Fixed an issue where Chains were lava immune, but could NOT be "extended" into lava
- Fixed hanging furniture swinging indoors with the wind
- Fixed an issue where Jungle critters could spawn in a Corrupt/Crimson Jungle when near Hive blocks
- Fixed an issue during worldgen where the game hangs indefinitely trying to spawn some objects
- Fixed an issue with Escape not working properly on the Virtual Keyboard
- Fixed an issue where the change Moon Lord's Phantasmal Sphere damage was only applied to one of the two versions
- Fixed a few bugs relating to new content that hasn't been spoiled yet
- Fixed an issue preventing 2 of the game title texts from showing, but they are still not properly translated in non-English languages for now
- Fixed an issue with lava spawns from tiles not spawning serverside in multiplayer, resulting in ghost lava
- Fixing a worldgen issue with trapped chests, which should alleviate at least one possible cause of worldgen freezing on the Everything seed

---

TERRARIA 1.4.4.2
PC: (9/29/22)
Mobile/Console: TBD

Additions/Changes:
- Updating non-English localization files to account for some last minute changes and adjustments

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue introduced in 1.4.4.1 that prevented Mac/Linux from launching properly
- Fixed some additional Mac/Linux related launching and server issues
- Fixed an issue causing certain usable items to be duplicated on Gamepad/Console/Mobile/Steam Deck
- Fixed a Gamepad issue preventing items from being assigned to the D-Pad Hotbar properly
- Fixed a missing tooltip on Aether Campfire
- Fixed Lock Boxes not being openable with keys
- Fixed Solar Tablets not working in multiplayer but still consuming the tablet
- Fixed Pumps turning Lava and Honey into Water
- Fixed a softlock caused by leaving worlds in certain ways when using Drones or Golf
- Fixed Brain of Cthulhu teleporting too close to the player in FTW/Everything Seeds. It should no longer be able to directly telefrag the player, but the Brain is not avoiding you, so a rapidly moving player may still find themselves in its new teleport position.
- Fixed a visual issue caused by using some spears in reverse gravity
- Fixed some tile merging issues with dirt
- Fixed an issue causing some Clentaminator Solutions to consume far too much ammo per shot
- Fixed some Melee Speed tooltip inconsistencies on 2 items
- Fixed Smart Cursor trying to place Boulders on Pylons

1.4.4 Content, Changes, and Additions

New Special Seeds and Updates to Special Seeds
- Added the "Remix" World Seed, where the player spawns in the Underworld and makes their way up. Worldgen is heavily overhauled, and enemy spawns and item drops are changed
- Added the "No Traps" World Seed, for those players who just totally hate dying to traps during their Terraria adventures.
- Added the "Everything" World Seed, a combination of all of the major seed features from every other special seed.

For the Worthy Updates
- Numerous changes and threats have made their way to the FTW seed, to demand even more worthiness from players
- Classic difficulty FTW worlds automatically behave as Expert. Expert FTW worlds are automatically Master.
- Should now be possible to 100% complete the Bestiary

Not the Bees Updates
- Spider Caves now generate in Not The Bees worldgen
- All fish should be catchable now
- Should now be possible to 100% complete the Bestiary

- A number of changes have been made to Celebration worlds to make them even more fancy and festive!

New Items and Content
- Added 8 Slime Town Pets! Collect em all!
- Added over 300 new items
- Added over 25 new blocks and walls
- Added over 55 new paintings
- Added a few new vanity accessories and items
- Added a new tree type
- Added 3 new furniture sets
- Added Crimson and Corrupt Mud Grass. Corruption and Crimson no longer dry out Jungle Grass into dirt when corrupting it, but instead simply spread to the grass portion.
- Added Rubblemaker
- Added Shellphone
- Added Hand of Creation
- Added Echo Coating and changed Illuminant Paint to be Illuminant Coating. Coatings function exactly like paint, except they can be stacked with any other paint and each other.

- Added Poo
- Added Terraformer
- Added a Biome Sight Potion
- Added Jungle Birds
- Added Flymeal, bane of Townsfolk everywhere
- Added a few more pre-Hardmode weapons

- Added Fart Kart
- Added Resplendent Dessert
- Re-implemented Pixel Boxes to be sold by the Mechanic, which have been updated to have improved functionality for pixel displays.
- Re-implemented the deprecated Mini Star Cell Banner. It drops and buffs its respective enemy. Regular Star Cell banner no longer gives a buff against Mini Cells.

UI and Menu QoL Changes
- Added Equipment Loadouts. Changed F1-F3 keys to be the default bindings for Loadout Swapping, and F4 was changed to be the keybind for Camera mode.
- You can now place any accessory in social slots again. Social slot eligibility tooltip removed.
- Increased the max stack size of nearly all stackable items to 9999.
- You can now stack Guide Voodoo Dolls! But . . . with great stacking comes great responsibility. Throwing a stack of more than one into lava may have unwanted consequences.
- Void Bag now can be opened/closed with right click. A closed Void Bag will no longer pick up overflow items, and functions more like a Money Trough. An open Void Bag still picks up overflow items, and gains a number of new features, including:
- Using Quick Buff, Food, and Potions from its Storage. This includes Mana Flower Mana Potions. Wormhole Potions will also work automatically from within it.
- Allow crafting directly from Void Bag Contents
- Favoriting items inside of it
- Quick Stack to Nearby Chests from its contents
- Keys within it can be used to unlock chests
- Info accessories, Wire vision accessories, and Mechanical ruler all work from within it
- Void Bag will now also collect overflow items when looting chests
- Bestiary now shows kill count for that enemy
- Bestiary now shows stats based on the current gameplay session (based on things like difficulty, seed, etc)
- Added an accessibility option which will allow all weapons to be autofired
- Painter now has two shops menus. Wares are split between them to prevent his wares from being locked out of purchase due to too many items being in one shop.
- You can now link Angler quest fish in the player chat box
- All Quest Fish items now have tooltips saying where to catch them (useful for sharing in chat message)
- Paintbrushes, Fishing Rods, and Clentaminator now show the currently selected "ammo" by the cursor
- Clentaminator now works with Rifle/Sniper Scope functionality
- Angler Set, Fishing Accessories, and the Fishing Potion now all indicate how much Fishing Power increase they grant
- The +/- options to change Zoom now zoom twice as fast
- Updated some outdated loading and Guide text about things such as Lucky Horseshoe and Meteorites
- When in Journey mode, mousing over items in the crafting menu will show how many are needed to Research. This also applies to Guide and Tinkerer UI slots.
- Some info accessory tabs are grayed out when inactive or display N/A, and will light back up when active again. Gold Critters will appear in gold on the Lifeform Analyzer.
- Changed the Quest info for Pengfish and Pixiefish to be more consistent with similar fish
- Quick Stack to Nearby Chests now has a visual effect, showing the items which are being quick stacked moving towards the chests they go into
- Added flavor text and info text for Portal Gun
- Equipping any of the Monoliths in accessory slots will create a player-side shader effect in the same way that Radio Thing does
- Playing musical instruments now shows the note on the cursor
- Significantly increasing the range of quick stack to nearby chests
- Pumpkin and Frost Moon will now display the total score when the event is over.
- Flower Accessory's social display visual now draws over helmets/face accessories, to allow combining. Additionally, Jungle Rose has been changed from a Head Vanity to a Vanity Accessory.
- Worlds in the World Menu where Moon Lord have been defeated now have a special border around their icon
- Added an option to show health/mana display numbers on Health/Mana UI settings
- Added an option to display numbers on boss health bars
- When a Sandstorm is active, the Weather Radio info accessory will display it, alternating between it and the standard weather display
- Character creation now defaults to Classic mode instead of Journey mode
- Summoning tooltips now say they deal "Summon" damage instead of "Minion" damage
- The game now tracks deaths, and they can be viewed with the /death and /pvpdeath commands. Additionally includes the /alldeath and /allpvpdeath for server-wide numbers.
- Made some consistency improvements to tooltip text displaying Up/Down messages
- Capricorn Legs/Tail now instant-transform into each other, and maintain favorite status, rather than simply spawning a new item in a different inventory location
- Shift-clicking items to the research slot automatically researches the item.
- When randomizing a character, more hairstyles are available to be rolled
- When randomizing a character, the game will pick female characters more often than before (which previously was actually quite uncommon)
- Most of the Stylist haircuts are now available when creating your character
- Added an option to disable quick trash in the main menu
- When using Journey mode's reach booster, it also increases item pickup range
- Encumbering Stone can be right clicked from the inventory or hotbar to make it Uncumbering, allowing more controllable use of its pickup blocking function
- Your equipped pet can now be seen on the player selection menu with your character
- Journey sliders now have interactible buttons which allow you to snap to specific points

Content Changes and Feature Expansions
- Added new achievements
- Added new Death Messages
- Added several new title texts
- Added many new words to the random world name list
- Added new sounds to several weapons and enemies
- Ropes and Minecart tracks can now intersect, allowing you to use a rope and a minecart in the same spot without having to break one
- Similarly, Ropes and Platforms can also now intersect.
- The player no longer collides with platforms when on a rope pulley, to allow for ropes which go through platforms
- You can now exchange your Town pet by using another Pet License (They can now be purchased infinitely from the Zoologist)
- Smashing altars no longer generates random blocks of infection in the world
- Traveling Merchant now has an extra guaranteed item slot in his inventory in Hardmode. This slot can only contain items from the 4 less common item pools, with the most common items being excluded.
- Traveling Merchant now has an extra guaranteed item slot in his inventory at all times. This slot will ALWAYS contain a painting. Paintings have been removed from all of his other inventory slots, which will slightly increase the odds of obtaining the rest of his wares.
- Angler no longer drops furniture items as part of his regular drop pool. Instead, he now has a chance to give a bonus Furniture drop when completing quests. The odds of getting a bonus furniture drop increase as your Quests completed increases.
- Right clicking the Eternia Crystal Stand during the cooldown between OOA waves will allow you to skip the delay and immediately start the next wave. The Eternia Crystal stand and the first wave completed message also indicate this fact.
- Upon defeating all 3 mechs for the first time, the game will now attempt to immediately spawn a Plantera Bulb in the Jungle
- Glowing Mushroom grass and trees now glow different colors when painted
- Critter Cages can now be stacked and stood on like platforms
- Increased the minimum size of Underground Deserts from 50% of the maximum size to 75% of the maximum. The maximum size has not increased.
- The player can now have double the number of active buffs/debuffs (44 total) before they start overriding each other
- Torch God's Blessing can now convert Campfires as well
- You can now block swap torches and campfires
- Players can now blockswap ropes out for platforms or minecart tracks if there is already a platform/minecart track to the side of the rope
- All Lockable Chests can now be re-locked using Chest Locks
- The Extractinator can now be used to turn fishing trash into low level bait
- When getting a hole in one in golf, it now says so instead of saying 1 stroke
- Slime Rain can now only begin from 6 AM to Noon, but the odds of it happening are now 4x as high. This will result in the same number of Slime Rains overall, but they simply start in the morning.
- Most critters which spawn from tiles or trees now have a brief delay before they can be killed (the same as how Worms from tiles are protected)
- When hitting trees, the tree will now always show a visual puff of leaves, even if nothing is dropped, to indicate that a successful tree hit has been performed
- Banners, Hanging Bottles, and Lanterns can now be placed on unhammered platforms and all other platform hammer configurations
- Reverting a previous change that altered how Frozen Slime Blocks merged with regular Slime Blocks and other blocks. They are now intentionally inconsistent with regular Slime Blocks for building purposes.
- Crystal Shards can now grow on Pearlsand, Hardened Pearlsand, and Pearlsandstone
- Rainbow Bricks now use an improved map color gradient
- Abigail's Flower now breaks in one hit when mined and makes a grassy sound when doing so
- Zenith's swing SFX now plays more often to more appropriately match its swing speed
- Rod of Discord's item sprite is now bright and generates some light, making it easier to see if it drops
- Resprited several of the core progression swords to be bigger and more up to date
- Starfury's star has been given a visual overhaul
- You can now fish while partially submerged in water, as long as the player's arms are above the bobber. This includes fishing in an Inner Tube!
- Cracked Dungeon Bricks can now be broken by projectiles
- Added recipes for all 9 safe versions of Dungeon Walls
- Added recipes for all of the Dungeon worldgen platforms
- Added a recipe for Magic Mirror
- Heavily optimized recipe checking code. This should result in dramatically reduced/eliminated FPS drops when large numbers of recipes are calculated on the fly (such as when opening a chest that contains large numbers of crafting materials when near crafting stations)
- Balla Hat and Gangsta Hat are now sold during day and night respectively, instead of 24/7
- Ocean water is now slightly more transparent and easier to see in
- The Nurse can now comment on how often you have been dying in her random dialogue
- Some Boss Masks can now be combined with Beard Accessories
- Increased movement speed of Hardcore Ghosts
- Teleporters no longer produce flickering light passively

OMG, I wanted something like that to build with.. Thank you so much.

Ah, now that the new thread is up, I have a question. I'm wrecking everything in my normal world. I also started on a small world. Would it be worth making a new large world to get better loot? Or more worth it to do more bosses for HardMode? I got my lucky horeshoe and was going to go into hell next. Just curious what people think I should do for progression?

also, is there a list of you get these items? or should I not worry and just have fun still?

I think right now I feel hell is still really hard, and with how easy I can farm the dungeon and the earlier bosses. Maybe a point in the right direction. Maybe I'm just exploring it wrong?

    Edit:
So sorry about the double post. i was reading the walkthrough again, and realized I recognize a lot of the items that craft into new items. Is maybe my problem I'm not combining things as much? I feel I need to visit the guide and start puting items in to see what I can make.

It honestly doesn't take very long to catch up on a new world, progression-wise, if you're coming at it with a character that's already done that content. If you don't mind rebuilding and the time it will take to transfer items you want to store over, then go for it, sure. I will say though that a large world is waaaaaaaay too large for one person. It's almost too large for a group of people, really. Go with medium.

    Hardmode set it to hallowed.

Now I have three hallowed chest keys :?

If you've found the Goblin Tinkerer, you should buy the workshop he sells and see what accessories you have that you can combine. 99% of the time the result is the combination of all the accessories used to make it, including a few must-have for moving around like Rocket Boots (which the tinker also sells)+ dash boots and a combo of any X in a Bottle and a Red Shiny Balloon, and then your lucky horseshoe for double jump, extra jump height and fall damage negation all in one accessory slot.

As for Hell, it's basically the biggest leap in difficulty until hard mode, so don't be dissuaded by how easy it is to die down there. Before going down, you'll want to find a Shadow key from the Dungeon, you need it to open any chest you find down there. Obsidian Skin Potions are also a must, Hellstone generates lava when mined, and most of it will be under lava to begin with. As for weapons and armor, my easiest initial attempt into hell was after farming Queen Bee for a Bee Gun and the beeswax to make a Wasp Staff and a full set of Bee armor. The army of insects I could summon with them usually gave me enough breathing space to explore. Then it's finding a Hellstone Furnace you can take with you (you'll need one to make hellstone bars, as well as for Hardmode) + mining enough Hellstone to make a full set of molten armor + new weapons. Once you do that, you should be able to survive down there well enough to loot all the shadow chests you can find and make the preparations you'll need to do to fight the Wall of Flesh.

I can easily farm eye, brain, bee, and killed skeleton.

I am going to look now to see what I can combine. I never thought to start combining things. I have rocket boots, hermies boots, and I learned I can make specter, witch I just did. Things I have that I understand are good, and kept: anklet, aglet, jellyfish necklace, 2 shiny baloons, nazar, and cobalt shield. I read today after posting all those are used in some major things. I think I'm missing some stuff though. I guess knowing that hell is the hardest I'm not worried, and will keep looking.

I just made: Obsidian Shield, Amber Horseshoe Balloon, Lightning boots. I'm 1 item away the GPS (missing Compass), Goblin Tech (missing metal detector), and R.E.K. 3000 (missing Radar). I had no idea all this stuff I saved was so goo. I wasn't sure on amber horseshoe balloon, but I could make it, so I went with that. I am missing life crystals, so I guess that is what I need to farm.

    Edit:
I also found I could make Obsidian Water Walking Boots. Wow, I feel like I just got a lot of upgrades, I just didn't know I had it all sitting in chests in my house.

I'm still missing radar and ive killed the final boss.

Also, GPS works from you inventory and you don't have to use an accessory slot. Took me a bit to figure that out.

Snow biomes can coexist with Hallowed biomes as long as there's at least 300 blocks of snow or ice, including the pink ice that also counts as Hallow. I had frost and hallowed keys drop from the same pirate event that had a lot of pink ice around.

I wasn't having much fun dealing with expert Hardmode so I started up a new hardcore character on a normal world. Just by exploring, I've already got a Demonic Ice Boomerang, Water Bolt and got enough surface platinum for a Platinum pickaxe. Sometimes the game can be generous.

Time to go fishing, see if I can drag up a Sawtooth Shark while I'm feeling lucky.

I can't help but feel i'm losing interest in Terraria after activating hard mode. I enjoyed it so far (mostly playing with someone else) but at this point I feel like my goals are get past increasingly annoying enemies to catch fish for the angler, maybe run into a person I have a random chance of seeing and also there's bosses that may or may not appear during the night. Anyone else get a similar feeling?

Npc housing is up above my house and is pretty bare bones.

    Haha. Thanks?
I tend to design something, realize it could work out better this other way, and then tear it down and rebuild.
I brainstormed the duplicator reservoirs and mixing chamber at work yesterday when I was painfully bored. Needs some work (especially the dump chute) but I like seeing all the stuff I've collected

Oh, it is for the aesthetic aspect. I see now. I thought it was for where to find them or something.

A little bit at first, mainly because you get set more or less back to square 1 in terms of progression (find all the new biomes, mine for ore again, most things beyond the starting area will turn you into chunky salsa with your gear) But once I got enough of those things done to stand a chance against the mechanical bosses, I got back into the grove.

My expert world is driving me a bit crazy. I was able to kill the eye and worn witg I UT much trouble at all, but I'm having a heck of a time getting skeleton down into the yellow before he kills me.

Fully buffed, heart later and campfire, minis hark with meteor rounds, and prepare with spike balls all over the place. I don't want to leave this world since I built a subway all the way across it - tracks from far right to dungeon on far left, about 8000 feet from end to end and my castle is pretty far along, but I'm feeling like I won't get to hard mode.

I'm tempted to go to another world - either my old ones or create a new non-expert one - just to gear up, but I feel that's a bit cheesy...I've even got my hell bridge built at this point but that damn skeletor is driving me nuts.

Anyway, just needed to vent a bit.

The early part of hard mode is the toughest. It gets a lot easier when you craft your first suit of hardmode armor. The bosses randomly spawning is annoying given that the arenas you need are likely not yet built. Spelunker potions are basically a must early on so you can hit the ore you need and get out to forge with it.

    Nope. Just really rare.

Some of us have skipped skeletron and the dungeon on expert since there isn't anything you really need from it. A beekeeper from the queen is more than enough to survive early hard mode due to its effects. Going back after you have hard mode ore armor makes things a lot faster. You still don't need any of the actual items, but it's nice to map out biome chests.

That said, expert skeletron requires a different arena setup than normal mode skeletron. Multiple rows of platforms so you can evade the skull spit by moving around him in a circle as opposed to the skybridge approach.

So I finally decided to try and get organized. I've got most of my stuff spread out across multiple worlds.

    Here's my rudimentary start.

Now I just need a place for the NPCs to live and that'll pretty much be it.

Are the signs at the start of each row of chests descriptors of what to find in that row?

My successful expert Skeletron kill was Bee everything: Bee Gun, Bee nades, Bee Armor, hornet staff, and the Hive Pack you can get in Expert Mode. I didn't have a honeycomb equipped for even more bees whenever I got hit, but that might also be useful. Was able to do it on a regular skybridge, but in retrospect a multi-layer bridge would have made it much, much easier.

Basically focused on entirely on dodging arms and skulls while spawning as many bees as I could with the gun and nades, relying on their homing nature to make up for only the barest attempt at accuracy. Near the end though, I had to start switching between Bee Gun and other ranged weapons (Star Cannon I think) because the head started to move fast enough that it was outrunning any of the bees that weren't upgrade by the Hive Pack.

I dunno, I found the Hellwing Bow to be a must-have for expert Wall of Flesh to pierce past all the hungers, and getting it required a shadow key from the dungeon... though that might have been because I used up all my stars killing Skeletron, and therefore couldn't make enough Jester's Arrows for a serious WoF attempt. >_<

That feeling when you are rearranging contents of chests and accidently drops a full stack of Fallen Stars in broad daylight.

    Fuck.

Did finally get 3 Turtle shells and made full Turtle Armor though.

I may as well post my stuff here. The files are pretty big so i just have to give links. @Gizzy helped put these together.

    My current half-baked world tree.

An Ice Castle. The purple waterfalls don't show up in the screen shot, for some reason.

Steampunker talked about becoming a sky pirate so much I figured I'd make her an airship home.

Thing is though, I have no idea what I want for forward propulsion. Sails seem like an obvious choice, and one I'll probably do regardless, but I kinda want a rocket or propeller-shaped creation sticking from behind, but I have no idea what I might use to make it. Any thoughts?

A Molten Fury with jester or unholy arrows also pierces through things, it just requires prepping the ammo as opposed to just the bow. In my case, a demon scythe did the bulk of the piercing with the bow as a backup when mana ran low.

We're posting our bits again? Here'd be my current storage world, nice and straightforward. Still haven't gotten around to remaking my display halls.

It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

Expert Skeletron is kicking my ass.

Running the fight with full Bee gear; a couple of imp minions and a hornet minion; mini shark loaded up with meteorite bullets, beegun, beenades, beekeeper sword, and demon bow with hellfire and jester arrows; food buff, iron skin, regen, mana regen, magic damage, and archery potions; arena with lots of platforms, a heart lamp, a campfire, and loads of spiky balls.

I feel pretty confident that this should be overdoing it, but the last couple attempts always wind up with both hands defeated, head down to near nothing, and then I get caught inside the spin with no way out, wiping me from 400 hp to 0. It's been frustrating!

Somebody suggested using the grappling hook to escape the lockstun situation that keeps killing me, but if that doesn't play nice I'll probably be cheap and wipe out a non-expert world before moving forward in this one. Maybe I'll drag the dryad and nurse over for the benefit of her defense boost too.
