If you're unfamiliar, the san antonio convention center has been undergoing a massive reconstruction to add on a huge amount of space that will likely be used for pax. I assume this poster is excited about the prospect of the new sections of said convention center, and therefore took photos.

I was down there about a month ago, and when I went to the stratosphere I was looking down at the center and the new additions are going to make it huge! It was also really shocking to see how the first pax only used about half of the convention center, once it takes up the whole center Pax South will be massive!

Remember that a chunk of the existing space is being demolished once the new section opens up, so won't quite be as big overall as it currently looks.

Oh wow, that really changes the entire area leading up to 281. All of the literature I've seen pointed to a January 2016 opening date for the new part. Guessing PAX will be one of the first big events in the new space!

Thats pretty exciting. On the other hand, kinda feels like we'll be guinea pigs for the space.

I got bored and wanted to check up on the progress of the expansion. If this is true, I'll be kinda disappointed. I want the new and shiny!

They just revealed all the new upgrades this past week, so PAX will be the first convention to use the updated facilities. Should be quite different from last year, here's a video and news article link if you want to see some of the changes.

Since the timing was so close Pax is not using the new space. They are still using the old space that will be demolished.

Yup, while we are using some space we did not have last year, it is the old space. Next year will be the first time we get to use some of the new area's. I got to tour it, It's gorgeous.
