I have a mild semi-TV related rant I want to get out of my system, so it's in a spoiler to avoid a big mess.
So, for a while now I've been slowly accumulating a few shows on Amazon Instant, since I use amazon for most of my online purchases, it seemed convenient.
Granted, their player (and library) are not nearly as effective as netflix, but whatever.
However, now that I have a smartphone I decided to try and watch it there, only to discover amazon had no such video app in the app store.
I ended up having to find directions online that had me going to their site, on the phone, and downloading the app from them direct (Which itself sounds kinda sketchy)
But whatever, if anything stupid happens I can factory reset, no harm no foul.
So I did that, got the app, went through some hassle to get the phone to install it because it's not from the official store, etc.
And now that I got up and running.... it refuses to let me play any fucking videos.
It's a pain in the ass to even find my library, they clearly have no interest in making anything convenient except buying more shit.
Like, Even when I get to my library, I only briefly saw a "Play" button ,which immediately disappeared into the twisting nether.
I'm scrolling through Korra season 4, and all it gives me are episode listings, and the option to buy the HD versions of the eps.
It even tells me I own the SD versions, but I can find no means to actually play them at all.
I don't want to say I've been scammed but, Jesus Christ, they couldn't have made this more difficult.
I think I'm just gonna have to stop buying things on Amazon video, because I've been at this for barely thirty minutes and I'm already exhausted with this shit.
edit: Oh my God, it needs a second app to install just to fucking watch videos. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS SHIT AMAZON
Rick and Morty forever
A hundred years Rick and Morty
Just so you know, Ghost, the pilot's a little awkward. Later episodes tend to show Rick with a bit more affection for Morty, even if he tries to bury it under layers of drugs and bitter cynicism.
On the other hand, if you think the pilot was dark...
Are you familiar with the original Westworld movie?
The actual Westworld movie's premise is that it is a theme park with robot cowboys that you can fake duel. Then the robots become evil and real duel people.

Basically the premise is
Wild Wild West, Jim West, desperado, rough rider
No you don't want nada
None of this, gun in this, brotha runnin this,
Buffalo soldier, look it's like I told ya
Any damsel that's in distress
Be out of that dress when she meet Jim West
Rough neck so go check the law and abide
Watch your step with flex and get a hole in your side
Swallow your pride, don't let your lip react,
You don't wanna see my hand where my hip be at,

One of my favorite jokes in WHAS the show is
"This isn't the food inspector. He'd never call me this time of day."
I see you... running through the trees. You're small. The trees are like giants. Men are chasing you. You step out the trees, you ain't that fast. Ah son... they kill you. They shoot you to pieces.
Watched the first 4 episodes of Agents of SHIELD on Netflix today. I'm not sure why this show got such a bad rap early on. It is certainly episodic, which may not have been what people were looking for. But other than that, it seems fine. It feels a lot like Fringe to me. Government team trying to corral runaway technology. Suits, guns, a bit of body horror and sci-fi weirdness.
The end of Rick Potion #9 was a little oversold for me. I had a much stronger reaction to the end of Bojack Horseman's "Escape from LA"
I don't know what other people have said about it
I meant just the horror of what happened. I can't think of any show that matches the sheer magnitude of killing the entire world across multiple dimensions without undoing it by the end of the episode.

I think the question I'm most looking forward to have answered is to Jon Benjamin
Tell me about it
It's actually kinda tough to get through if you're not on board with the comedy style.
Ps who dis?
Hahaha fuck

I don't even want to see a trailer of this movie, part because peoples reactions to it, but mostly because it's fun to read the title and go :winky:
It's okay, they're just bureaucrats.
There's that word again. "Heavy." Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?
Why I fear the ocean.

it's incredibly bleak, depressing, and yet somehow uplifting
it's magnificent
