Fuck you, PC Screw! ...and thermal paste.

So there's a screw I need to remove from my PC. But it is being stubborn as HELL. Anyone have any suggestions for removing a stubborn screw? It's the one holding in the mount for the processor heatsink by the way. I have a variety of screwdrivers, but they are failing me.

Be a man and use some muscles?

If it ain't comin out easily then you either tightened it too much or something is wrong, eg its broken or twisted.

Everything involving the heatsink is designed for the convenience of someone with herculean strength. Try harder.

Can you take a picture of this?

Current heatsink screws should only turn 1 way.

It isn't turning at all. And yes, I know which way to turn it. I got the other one out. THis one is just being a whore. I currently have no way to take a picture. It's a socket 939 if that helps.

My friend is saying it's stripped. Goddamnit. Working on pliers, but the damn thing is round and not working too well. I hate screws so much.

VICTOLY! Final solution was to stick one end inside the screw, the other outside. Worked like a charm. Thanks dudes.

Yep. Too much paste and heat builds up in the AC5 rather than transferring to the cooler.

    Do what the instructions say.
