Looking for a C# book

I am looking for a good C# book in the context of ASP.NET.

I'm mostly concerned about the syntax and properties of the language.

Looking for something in the intermediate-advanced range.

this is a discord of mostly PA people interested in fighting games: https://discord.gg/DZWa97d5rz

we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other

Since C# is basically a Microsoft language, I've been a proponent of Microsoft's own books. They normally have a Step by Step book which is more introductory, and then one above that, which is what you'd probably want. If you want a strong focus on ASP .NET rather than just some basic stuff like most books have, you may want 2 books, as one book on either subject usually is not in depth enough on the other subject.

Microsoft also has a great Best Practices book, but that may just be something to consider later.

CLR via C# is a great book on the CLR and C# (what else). I don't think it has anything specifically about ASP.net though.
