Despite the announcement that having to wait until the next day has been patched out, you still have to wait until the next day. So just exit the game, move your clock to tomorrow and then open it again and your stuff should be delivered as soon as you hit "Make".

Well no, I mean. We've already got Ice Blocks that people can tile a level with. I mean like, a snowy background and snow covered ground tiles that are not slippery, and snowy platform blocks and such.
I would like them to add star coins. It would be a good indicator if you've found the secrets in a level or not, giving you something more to do than just beating it.

Welp, my Mario Maker got delayed to Monday. It's not a terrible surprise considering I didn't get tracking info until last night but man do I want to play some Mario.

everything about the presentation of this game is just so polished and perfect
it was a brilliant design decision to make the creator itself be so interactive and toy-like. it's such a good way to encourage people who might be intimidated by level creators. Don't worry about it just make some sound effects and see what happens when you shake different level pieces!

Their aesthetic for the creator was "Mario Paint" which is basically the best idea.

I was mostly experimenting with shell/spring mechanics, but I also stumbled upon an interesting timed arena prototype that I'll definitely be iterating on in more advanced stages at some point.

Seriously, having tight control over your character is what makes platforming games fun
Slipping and sliding everywhere fundamentally just makes the game more difficult to control, which is awful

Place a ton of blocks and then undo them over and over. I think it's maybe 500 you need to place? It sounds insane... But it works.
