Another medic contract that takes an hour, another fucking ulcer. And my reward is a battle scarred minigun you can barely tell is even painted.
Yeah I aint buying into the next campaign.
I just thought of buying into the campaign thing as being like buying map stamps, a way of throwing money at community mappers. And then ironically it ended up being other people subsidizing my throwing money at mappers by selling the first case I got for like 7 dollars in the week after the campaign started.

Booted up tuftoo for the first time in a while, actually had a ton of fun and success doing my sniper contract on Badwater. Went on several streaks where I got like 5 headshots in 10 seconds, which I almost never do, so that was fun.

I'm not sure what the problem is with Medic contracts.
Even if your team is brain dead, it's still the easiest class to get points with, if you stay behind everyone and grind heals. Just you might not be able to get past 100/130. So if you're just looking for the contract reward, you can stop then.

grinding heal points is slow as hell and medic-ing valve pubs isn't fun
Map contracts are the worst. By the time I hit 100 points I've played at least 2 rounds. Then I have to WIN 3 more. The chances of winning 3/3 in a pub is slim.

I've found the easiest way to do this is to initiate a map change vote immediately after the map changes away from the map you want to play. That is when you've just left 'Waiting for Players' and when it will pass uncontested.
Most people trying to fill their map contract will have left. Other people who don't want to play the same map twice will also leave. And then you just gave to win quickly against a team of like 2 or 3.

I've always found the heals + extinguishes + assists builds points faster than playing yourself.

Basically this.
But medic contracts also pigeon hole you way more than the other classes.
All the advance objectives require you to uber the target, which means you have to use the stock medigun. They also require you to uber certain targets (heavy or demoman, or just demoman) and to destroy buildings with an uber. So if you can't find a team with competent people playing those classes or an enemy team with engineers you're stuck slowly grinding heals for points.
OR you can do what I did and say fuck it and murder people with a blutsager, because even with the medics shitty weapons I can get kills faster than any pub I'd heal.

I'm pretty sure I was able to get uber points with the kritzkrieg and possibly the quickfix. It was still a pain in the ass though, I remember trying to get uber demo points and swapping through multiple servers without any demos on them.
I think I may have to go Engineer for my Open Contract.
10 points in one life for the advanced?
Sounds like a job for teleporters and sentries.
On Borneo, put a sentry in the right side shack facing Blu spawn. Set it at the back right corner so it can look down that alleyway. I got 10 kills per life easily right there. People just keeping walking into it.
.... that... that almost looks like your telefragging (or being telefragged). I think that's the message as well. Choke/Loss, weird interp, update, cmd, or rate? Are you getting a sudden lag spike immediately before or after?
e: nope, telefragging actually gives a "killed by telefrag" console output

I didn't notice any weird lag, but also the two shots I put into him wouldn't have killed a full health medic in the first place, so I'm doubting whether lag is the issue here.
This was on ctf_well on a Valve server btw.

The trade-up thing is a 10 for 1 deal, fuck that.
I guess Muselk will be happy he can do something with all those SMGs at least.
edit: the items all have to be of the same rarity level (civilian gradde, commando grade, etc.)as well, so it's really only useful for crazy people that are going to go buy out the entire market to try and craft a decent weapon.

Halloween restrictions have been bullshit since forever.
I have a crossbow with Christmas lights wrapped around it, has a bell on it, and fires candy canes and I can use it all year round.
I'm pretty sure the only reason Halloween restriction is still a thing is because the Halloween stuff are the only cosmetics you might reasonably get for free.
Fucking hate the fact I could make soldier look like a power ranger and fire energy bolts LIKE IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO, but it's a halloween set.

This time to a Medic who I hadn't put near enough damage into to kill.
He ragdolled mid-jump in front of me, so no exploding this time.
