Decided to head otu and open up a slot on the server, and to protect my fragile ego from being destroyed every time I left the spawn room lol

Boxes. Though I think we pretty much figured this one out.

There was a broke grass texture or something on one of the maps, and then it got cached and broke on all the other maps after that. Or something to that effect.
Whoo first person on the server and then less than ten minutes into the server filling my game crashes when I try to change an option and now the server's full.
So that was something created during the Frontline crunch time insanity that the team was all dying laughing about. Figured it was time for the general public to get to see.
Alternatively, I'm sort of surprised no one's taken that map idea and run with it yet. Unless they have and I'm forgetfull.
You mean the tug of war gamemode? I know I've seen some, but it's been awhile. I want to say there's some fundamental issues with it, but I can see it being an improvement on PLR where it keeps the attackers and defenders together more.
It's very a DM heavy mode, but that hasn't stopped other modes from succeeding.
I wonder if porting something like Splatoon's Tower Control would work? Short five-minute rounds, and there's checkpoints on the 25%'s along the way to the enemy's side the first time you hit you have to stop for a few seconds and hold. If no team gets it all the way to the goal in the time allotted, whichever team got it furthest along wins.

I think the biggest issue with the tug of war game mode is that it's pretty unlikely the cart will ever actually change hands. Whichever team wins the first big fight and pulls the cart onto there end is most likely going to win. The other team might move it back and forth a little, but it's really hard for them to turn the match around.
Some sort of forced reset to the start point on a timer or something could fix that, but could also lead to some LONG ass rounds.
I imagine a big wick burning on a comically large bomb. Get the bomb far enough into an enemy location and hold it until the bomb goes off. If it goes off before it reaches that area, it explodes and resets to mid.
I'd imagine you'd want some kind of overtime mechanic while pushing though, otherwise you'd end up with a bunch of impossible and frustrating pushes that will just waste time.
Ooh ooh, you could even do carefully planned destructible environment pieces that can be destroyed with the bomb that remove cover or even open new paths as a reward for pushing into enemy territory. Further you get in the better the reward.

The more explosions the faster the bomb moves, perhaps?

This is basically business as usual in casual mode now a days.
I guess it is kind of nice that none of the hackers can be bothered to come shit up HonC anymore though. :?

Keep the ban train a rollin Valve.
I fucked with a scammer today.
I linked it all to Jill (TF2 dev John Shoenick) on Steam.
Then the Valve impersonator account was wiped completely and trade banned.
That's my favorite part. Well done, scammers deserve getting shut down like that.
