Maybe I missed the boat on this, but I just heard about this... for those who dont follow the link, the XBox 360 Live Arcade will soon be having a Pac man tournament, with a prize for highest scorer on the XBox Arcade via Live Arcade Leaderboard score - "Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and Mexico will each get to send its top-scoring player to the event, as determined by the Xbox Live leaderboards (existing leaderboard scores will be deleted before the contest begins "to provide a clean and fair slate for all gamers"). Europe and the US will each get to send two finalists. A dearth of talent can be partly made up by an abundance of heart, as the winner of a contest challenging residents of the US and Canada to submit videos showing why they're the biggest Pac-Man fan of all will round out the field as the 10th finalist."-
They are also releasing the 1980s Pac Man cartoon for $2 per episode.
Does anyone else have a guess as to who the "Biggest Pac Man Fan of all" might be? Do pseudo-fictional web comic characters count?
I'd say the guy who holds the world's record for playing a perfect game of Pac-Man needs to get himself a 360 and sign up.
I am proud to say that at one time, I could play the first couple of stages with my eyes closed. Nowadays, I struggle between foggy memories of patterns, my fading dexterity, and trying to figure out which way the "random" ghost is headed.
