so i should be clear that i've spent very little time in the rural, ultra conservative parts of the state
but i love it
it's progressive as hell- maybe not cambridge, ma but way better than i expected even outside of boulder. lots of different kinds of people dressed however. the nature is incredible- gorgeous views, great skies. tons of outdoorsy activities. the city i live in is now getting gigabit internet as a municipal utility. tons of tech jobs in boulder (and lots of defense contractors also if that's your thing, in the suburbs). lots of young people because of csu and cu
