Just curious how many O&A (thats Opie and Anthony to the rest of you) fans there are on the forums. I have talked to one or two who I suspected were pests, and turned out to be right, so I suspect there are more than a few lurking out there. This would be a great place to make yourself known and talk about the show a bit.
I do NOT want this thread to become a O&A vs. Howard (hoohoo) bash fest. If you hate the boys, I really couldn't care less. This thread is also not about Imus, though I do have some pretty strong feelings about it, there is already another thread for that.
I have been a fan for years. I started listening in Boston (where I used to live), followed them to NYC, and have been an Audible subscriber to their show since it started up again on XM. Some have said the show has changed for the worse, but I couldn't disagree more. I think it has never been better, especially with the way they have handled themselves lately.
I was listening to Monsters in the Morning on XM for a while but then they changed their airtime so now I'm forced to listen to Lex and Terry or nothing. I fucking hate Lex and Terry.
It's just a some unfunny retards being stupid while I'm still trying to wake up.
Fuck, I can get that here.
I got into it because I love stand up comedy, and a lot of their show focuses around that. A huge portion of their guests come from that field too. People like Louis CK, Patrice O'Neil, Bob Sagat, etc. Some people like it because of the tits I suppose, and thats not a bad reason either.
Mostly its fun because its mean spirited and relatively intellegent (at least as compared to the other shit out there).

O&A is your idea of intelligent comedy?
They're a couple of hacks who wouldn't even have careers if they hadn't stolen their schtick from Howard Stern.

Don't really listen; I don't think we get it in Seattle.
But I've heard a bunch of bits over the years. I love their interviews/bits with Jay Mohr and they also had a guy who did some faux Seinfeld episodes and did ALL The voices. He did some bit about if Jerry was on drugs. Pretty funny
NPR is one of my favorite things about my sirius subscription. They've got like, 5 channels, each one playing a different show all at once.
Miss talk of the nation? Don't worry! It'll be rebroadcast on it's own channel a hundred times so you can catch it!
It sounds like I'm complaining, but I totally love it. I never have to miss Left Right and Center now.

I am so, so happy that This American Life is available as a podcast now.

I also never have time to read the paper, so it's nice to stay informed.
Adam Corolla.
Seriously. How much head does he have to give Jimmy Kimmel to keep getting work?
And, on that topic, how the fuck does Jimmy Kimmel have a job?

Yeah, most morning shows seem to be of that type.
Only morning show I've ever enjoyed is Seattle's BJ Shea show.
How can you go wrong with a show whose motto is: "At least once a day you should experience a BJ?" heh
