So, Nathan Fillion is the captain of a spaceship. Alan Tudyk is the pilot. This awesome sci-fi TV show was cancelled before it's time.

Sound familiar?

WELCOME TO CON MAN!
Q6UKqo1.jpg

Crowd funded and written by Alan Tudyk, Con Man tells the story of a man who is tired of the fame he has after a hit TV show was cancelled too soon.

With appearances by:
Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Sean Maher, Amy Acker, Seth Green, Felicia Day, Joss Whedon, James Gunn, Mindy Stirling, Tricia Helfer, Nolan North, and more will all be appearing!

Official Blurb:
Con Man centers on the post-show life of Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) the co-star of “Spectrum,” a sci-fi series, which was canceled before its time and went on to become a cult classic beloved by fans. Wray’s good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred as the series Captain and has gone on to become a major celebrity, while Wray (Tudyk) hasn’t found his desired level of stardom. Wray is the begrudging guest of sci-fi conventions, comic book store appearances, and different pop culture events; however, everything is not as it seems from the outside. The series will explore these events and all the weird and crazy things that happen to them along the way.

It released today for non-backers, costs 15 to rent for 3 months and the current episodes are releasing slowly. You can rent/watch through Vimeo currently: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/conman

I met Alan Tudyk at Denver Comic Con and got him to sign my Firefly cast photo and he was the nicest most delightful person. Did an on the fly King Candy voice for some kids before talking to me about how excited/tired he was from making Con Man. I told him how much I was looking forward to it and I wasn't kidding.

I have rented it and will begin watching shortly. Anyone else?

If Seth Green doesn't crack at least one Mass Effect in-joke, tables will flip.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

If I wasn't already sold by Alan Tudyk and the general premise, I would have been when Henry Rollins showed up. I'll check it out for sure.

Having now watched the first 4 episodes, it is great! I cracked up when
he opened the door to Felicia Day wearing the same thing he was wearing again, shirt sleeve askew included.

Having originally rented it on Vimeo, apparently I get to now own it on Vimeo, so that's cool!

Having finished it, great series. Although the ending
Just made me want to know what happens next!

Yup. They certainly set that up for a sequel. Will we get one? Will I have to fund it again?
