Room Shares - trying out a new policy, so please read the OP
We are going to try out a new policy for this PAX and see how it goes. While strict enforcement of the one post per person rule has cut down heavily on the reposting to get on the front page, it has also caused some problems with posts that need modified late in the game but are stuck on an old page.
There is still a one post per person policy, but I will be starting to cull posts from the thread that have been struck out or marked as no longer valid. I will try to do this as necessary, but there will not be a hard schedule for this purpose. This will mean that there should not be a wall of inactive posts to sift through in order to find active ones. Also it means that if someone had a post that was culled from early on, they can freely re-post it later if shit went south. If you abuse this, your ability to post in this thread will be revoked entirely.

Coming from DFW area, near the airport. I have a car and I'm already driving if someone in the group needs a ride. I'm 36 and prefer out of college so I don't feel like a babysitter. Additional Notes/Requests: I live in Austin, TX, about 45-1 hour outside San Antonio. My husband and I will both be going to PAX South. You will have your own room and a private bathroom unless more than 2 people end up staying. You'll have access to a full kitchen, laundry, and you're within walking distance of pretty much any major store or food chain you can think of (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Chilis, Fridays, Longhorn, etc.). We live in a very safe neighborhood, and you're welcome to carpool with us for an extra $25 for gas for the whole weekend. PLEASE NOTE that we have a dog and cats. They are all very friendly, but will pretty much keep to themselves. Please PM me if you're interested or you have any questions.

I've been to PAX East three times, but this will be my first non-Boston PAX, and I'm pumped! AirBNB referrals here, if that stuff means something to you.
I'd love somewhere close enough to bus (or especially walk) to PAX, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm respectful of others and their property, know how a shower works, etc etc. I'd love to stay with people who are fun/nerdy/talkative, but that's more of a bonus than a requirement.
