Oh no ED-E and Boone died in my Hardcore new vegas run. Picked up Rex and Arcade as replacements, befriending the boomers now. GONNA BEAT IT. NO DEATHS. (Other than once realizing the path to the boomers wasn't what I thought it was and exploding, redid that) Twitch streaming is fun.
Arcade: Killed by mask wearing assholes in a hotel room ambush
Rex: Killed by arcade, who threw a pulse grenade too close.
Veronica: Got mad and stayed in the basement of the Brotherhood of Steel while it self destructed.
ED-E and Boone: Died in a hail of gunfire storming The Fort for Mr. House to get to the underground thing.
Was a ton of fun and very hard. Only died twice and they were both not actual deaths. One was a glitch where someone saw me steal something through a wall in a casino and ran up to shoot me so I reloaded, and the other I tested something with the boomer run that didn't work out. Otherwise, made it through the whole thing. Entire thing is on twitch if anyone's interested in checking it out.
Got quite a few achievements, now to wait for Fallout 4!
So, uh, can I make my PS4 preload, or does it happen automatically? Is it a background download? It's 11am on the 9th here in the UK and so far no dice. Seem like a preload should happen at least the day before.

It's kind of insane that I have the game installed on my PS4, can watch it be livestreamed from the system itself, click the "Start this game" button, and then it'll tell me "Nope, you gotta wait", because I, like a sucker, bought digitally instead of just finding a retail store to break the date.

I visited it in the Store as if I was going to buy it again, and there was a button saying 'Download' under the unlock timer. This option was not present if I access Fallout 4 in my Library.
All documentation I've ever read has said that preloading is automatic. Evidently not so!

Does Nuclear Physicist stack with Gunslinger? Also, whoever suggested the Rick Sanchez build, I think that's who I'm going to build too. Being a cynical drunk genius getting high on drugs out of trashcans decimating fools with radiation pistols? Sounds amazing.

On top of this, Xbox One is unique in its suffering of a stuttering issue, halting the game experience for up to a second during play. It's a glaring hitch downward, and matching runs to the gates of Diamond City shows Xbox One dropping to a record 0fps (zero) while PS4 turns the same corner at 28fps. Each has their blips, but having tested two separate Xbox One and PS4 consoles, the results are always the same across the world at large; we get sizeable stutters on Microsoft's console that aren't present on PS4.

I am really glad for the inspiration, or I would have ended up playing something common and boring as always. Some min/maxed gunfighter with lockpicking and sneaking and mass crits. Rick Sanchez should prove to be a much more challenging and unique prism through which I will experience Fallout 4 through.
P.S. Rick is only feeling happy when he's drunk, he's actually super depressed. Partyboy gives +3 Luck. Wubba Dubba Dub Dub! Just sayin'.
