I went Hunter for my first brawl. Hit the dude that gets buffed every time a beast dies. All the chickens are beasts. I won the brawl on the back of that interaction alone.

Just to doublecheck this: cards only return to the library when you A) Cast them; or They're in your hand at the end of the turn?

So picking Deathlord and pulling creatures out of your opponent's deck, removes them permanently?

Turns out Kor'kron Elite is pretty great. Especially when you can drop him with a triple coin on turn 1.

I'm always blown away by the amount of net decking that goes on in this game. It's like the only people who play hearthstone watch hearthstone streams all day to see what decks hearthstone streamers are playing and rush as fast as they can to x-copy that deck down to the last card. It's become really apparent since I haven't played any arena for a few months and just do my dailies.

Almost makes me want to start doing arena again....if blizzard would let me choose my GODDAMN pack. Getting vanilla card packs from arena gives me hearthstone cancer.

That was fun. Had a rogue on the ropes till he pulls out a rag and gets rid of my minion. I get two more on board and he clears one with his dagger, leaving him at 2 health, rag hits my other minion. He's got lethal on board and spams well played and thank you.

I'm mage. I play leper gnome then say thank you. Ping leper and viola. Never underestimate something that wants a BIG HUG!

It's both. I've had cards that I picked but never play show up in later turns.

It's kinda neat that they turned off the fatigue function so you can completely drop your deck if you have fel reaver out and it won't draw you to death.

I know we say this every week, but this week's brawl gets my vote for being the worst. It combines the worst aspect of RNG and super long turns by both players.

I really like this brawl. I think maybe hands should refill a little less because holy hell does it take forever, but it's a very fun concept.

Like all brawls this one can't be a win for everyone. And there were tech issues at first and the rules aren't explained terribly well but I think the important thing is that Blizzard is really pushing the limits of their game engine. They try new and fun things with brawl (and also adventures like the temple escape) and that makes me happy even if I don't like a specific brawl.

I've played it quite a few times with a many different classes, and it doesn't seem that bad for RNG. Sure, your opponent might get a big bomb and you have small stuff, but you refill your hand every turn so you can afford to trade your several cheap minions for one big minion and you don't really fall behind. The main thing seems to be figuring out which things are good in the brawl (things that benefit from spells/cards played) and which things aren't (draw is generally weak), and then maximizing your mana each turn while not really using your hero power.

My one gripe so far is: why the fuck are hands randomized at the start and not static?

I have had hands where I had 3 coins in it and could play a 4 drop on turn 1, and I have had hands going first where I had 3 chickens and a spare part.

Fell reaver is actually amazing.

I got one then a reno a few turns later. Free full heal literally every turn.

Kripp had an opponent tonight who played Fel Reaver, while drawing Hobgoblin + 2 Chickens for his hand (of course, he couldn't know this) after that. Kripp then obliged him and got rid of the rest of his opponent's deck.

This brawl is weird but definitely fun. I'm glad they're really starting to experiment with the format. Between the co-op brawl and this one, some neat stuff is starting to show up.

disovered wilfred fizzlebang. played him, he becomes only card in my deck, tap for a 0 cost fizzle, play it to get another in deck

If you get a chance to draft Rhonin or Saraad, DO IT!
When you fill your hand with 2-ish arcane missiles every turn it's nasty.

Also just had a Grand Crusader duplicated on my Temp Mage.

Gave me a secret to play into my opponents Counter Spell. Eadric and Murloc Knight finish the game off.

I always hate when new cards are only talked about in reference to old cards but the wing 3 review on liquidhearth describes entomb as a 'slightly better recycle' which... it's got a totally different game plan. I get that it's absolute removal but its affect on the long game for a deck that often wants to go there can't be undersold

edit - so this week is murloc week and entomb. the former is frightening but I'll probably try out some version of shaman. the latter would have excited me more before dragon priest came to be but it might be worth messing with control priest again for

Mirror Image is the 1 mana summon two 0/2 taunts, not the secret (which is Mirror Entity).

So I was playing the brawl and got a Sylvanas early on. I also had the opportunity to draft a second Sylvanas, which I did, and played her. Next turn I could grab a Varian Wrynn and play him, so I did, and he pulled both Sylvanases out of my deck.

I won.

Sylvanas is good.

The druid egg deck/eggro druid that was posted is really fun to play. Topdeck mode starts at turn 3-4 usually but I really like decks that use Mark of the Wild/Soul of the Forest.
