Basically Wayne Pygram is great as both Scorpius and Tarkin.

I liked that in the old EU, during the Han Solo Trilogy, its basically explained that the Hutts always bribed the Imperial governor of their area and they let shit go on so there wouldn't be any major trouble for the Imperials. Finally they put a governor in charge that was like fuck yo crime syndicates you're going to pay taxes and serve the empire
And suddenly all the crime syndicates stopped killing each other for a week and teamed up and basically wiped out that guy's forces before going back to how they were.

    Bless your heart.

Over the past couple of years, Netflix’s video algorithm engineers have worked on perfecting this more flexible approach towards video encoding. Initially, they assumed that they would just have to categorize all of their titles to develop new encoding rules for animated shows, action movies, slow indie dramas and so forth. But they quickly realized that no two indie movies are alike, and that there can even be considerable visual differences within a season of the same TV show. “Each episode could be very different,” said Aaron. The result is a true title-by-title approach, where every single movie and TV show episode gets its own encoding settings.

Netflix seems so far ahead of their competition, it's ridiculous.
Amazon will steal that within a year and make all their employees sign an NDA, a No compete agreement and sue anyone that leaves them.

Amazon's interface on PSN is garbage. I get motion sickness scrolling through it.

If doesn't even show you a preview image as you're scrubbing through a video.

also the authoritarian regime, with the sith and their creed of unfettered freedom at the top, vs the democracy of the republic, with the jedi and their creed of strict ordered restraint at the sort of top, is something I like about the whole thing

I always saw the Jedi as being more strict about themselves than about other people. Even with the morally grey area of mind control.

Yeah, exactly! It's what I enjoy about this interpretation; order as good and freedom as bad is interesting.

But not mind controlling everybody because you have a code isn't being free, is it?

They (this is my opinion) seem more concerned with making sure that everyone else can be free, with they themselves limiting their own freedom and use of amazing abilities. The entire code seems designed to make sure you don't go and decide to control things you have no right controlling. So it's freedom from order, not one or the other.

The sith are also pro freedom from order, but reversed: for you, not anybody else. The jedi go for anybody else, not you.

So that was what I was talking about. Personally for the jedi or the sith. The jedi are all control your emotions, control your passion.

See, you could have dropped that into the original trilogies without too much effort. Either from the perspective of the Empire or from someone like Han, a smuggler.

I know a lot of folks aren't taken with Rotj btw but it came out the year I was born and was the first one my parents bought me (the other two were recorded from tv). I always gravitated to it a bit but the thing I have to admit I liked the most was Luke's lightsaber in it. A little bit like Obi-Wan's and loved the green blade. That and the fight on Jabba's barge were hella fun for me to watch.

Someday I want to try and track down the Force FX version of that lightsaber.

and they're ruled by sith whose creed is freedom.

    freedom?

    Yes, freedom.

The jedi are very much against. Strict, ascetics basically, self-denial, self-control. Restraint. Order. The jedi code is for anything but freedom.

The sith preach freedom. Unfettered freedom.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
    Through passion, I gain strength.
    Through strength, I gain power.
    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
    The Force shall free me.

But the jedi deny themselves, not anybody else, and the sith say the force shall free me. The jedi could have taken control of the republic. Or at least tried. They don't.

Sith would never deny themselves power like that. Free to take power, free to rule, free of any obligations to anyone except themselves.

That's not in the movies, though

    Just EU apocrypha

Just going on what we're given, Palpatine wants control and power.

@Jacobkosh steam cloud saves don't seem to be working through platforms for Sentinels. I installed it on my MacBook, and I don't have access to any of my unlocked variants which is a shame.

Omnitron is a chump. I wiped him hard on the first go.
