there's a ton of countries where it opens to today, and another bunch where it opens tomorrow. i'll be seeing it in the UK tomorrow for instance. US and a few others get it on Friday.
the account that posted in this thread was Mr Boom Boom, but Robot Santa's post on the previous page lists a few other accounts so i'm think they were all the same person. think they were all created either today or yesterday too.

UK is about an hour behind that for the earliest screenings. wasn't able to get tickets for any midnight showings though, so i'll be waiting a further 12 hours and 30 minutes after that. still, early afternoon on the first day is still pretty snazzy. :biggrin: watched the original and Empire last night and will relax with Jedi before i go to bed tonight to get me all hyped up.

this is making up for all those years when we had to wait months after a US release before we got to see movies. hell, that tradition hasn't even truly died yet. the Muppets reboot a few years back did it. so just be glad you're only waiting a couple of days.

yeah, i just like reminding folks how lucky they've had it in the past with movie and game releases, and how Europe has traditionally gotten screwed over. thankfully the internet has meant that big releases can't be scaled that way any more.

After I go home from work today, I am avoiding everything except Destiny and Battlefront. I really do not want to get spoiled on the movie. Just need to last 24 hours. One of my biggest fears is that some jackhole is gonna be talking and spouting spoilers while I am waiting in line to get into the theater. Maybe I just wear earbuds and blast music.
I am beyond excited.
As I am sure you are aware because I can't stop talking about it, my office is closing for a company outing to see Star Wars Friday at 3:20pm. We're putting the away message on and letting it roll over to voicemail. We do managed IT for local businesses. As I am sure you can imagine, a whole bunch of people IT nerds wanted to take Tomorrow off. Rather than deal with half the office wanting the day off, the owners decided to make a company outing out of the whole thing. I just found out today that we are even getting paid for the time. Immediately after the movie we are having the company holiday party at one of the most expensive restaurants in town. Christmas bonuses will also be handed out. What i'm trying to say here is that Friday is going to be the best kind of day. See you guys on the flip side!
