This seems to be a thing that happens every few months.

Random spurts of logging on and off every time the forum gets refreshed.

I am getting this along with Over Capacity messages sometimes when I try to do something, including logging back in

  • IcyLiquidIcyLiquid Two Steaks Montreal, QuebecAdministrator, Vanilla Staff vanilla
I've been clicking around and havent gotten any of these. I just did a couple of tweaks in case it was an access control thing. Please let me know if this behaviour persists for you guys.

    Sorry for the trouble.

This is the direct result of the outage I mentioned in the first comment, not random.

Edit: seems to be somewhat less frequent though

I've been getting the over-capacity messages and sudden logouts for the last 20 minutes or so.

I haven't had an over capacity message, just the frequent logging out.

EDIT: Just got an over capacity message.

Also, I don't know if this is helpful or not, but when I get logged out, refreshing has stopped working. When I click to sign in, even when I have the box checked to remember me, my information isn't stored there anymore.

Thanks for always being so on top of all these things, Icy!

I seem to get it mainly when opening a thread, going to the latest post. For example, it happened just a minute ago opening the SE Fallout 4 thread, taking me to the first page.

edit: and I just now got an 'over capacity' loading this thread to mention one I got in a popup while replying in said Fallout 4 thread. Don't know if there's any details I can provide or cues to look out for that might help pin it down?

Oofa doofa, getting this constantly this morning. Just had trouble even getting here to post this.

Yeah, I've been logged off 5 or 6 times in the span of about as many minutes.

It just happened for me a couple times in a row. When trying to refresh the page, a box in the lower left hand corner said, "You don't have permission to do that." Then I refreshed again, was logged out, logged back in, and I seem to be fine now.

Found a bad server and bonked it, havent had one since.

Are you aware of what the verb "bonk" means in British English

Because I don't think that's a good way to get servers to work

Seems like things would get gummed up
