Look I can't bother people to be on Let's Place if we don't have a [Podcast Thread]
I remember people saying Patrick was fucked during the Ryckoning.
And I remember them being wrong.
I think this level is a lot harder than the Ryckoning.
It is, but the Ryckoning also came with a hard time limit, which added to its difficulty.
In this one Patrick can just take his time to work things out, and in today's broadcast he's definitely making progress bit by bit.
Also, Dan mentioned that this would be the end of the trilogy, so if Patrick loses this one, it is almost like he has lost ALL OF THEM, which has gotta strengthen his resolve.

On the periscope today Dan was saying this level is tough time wise. He said you had to run all of the time. It should be really fun to watch.
Speed if you killed that spider i will be very cross with you
Spiders are our friends
You are clearly not from Australia.
I kid, mostly we just get big scary looking huntsman spiders that actually are super friendly and cool. Anything that isn't a huntsman gets squashed though, I aint taking any fucking chances.
i fucking love stratego and it's been forever since i've played it
@Speed Racer let me tell you about block wargames that is an entire genre that had stratego's "pieces only face their owning player" as their core mechanic.
But yeah, unless you have an allergy of some sort, the only two spiders that are really worth worrying about in the US are the black widow (pretty identifiable) and the brown recluse (slightly less immediately noticeable). I still don't want them moving around in areas where I'm at, though.

Do you know how many spiders in North America are actually poisonous
The answer is three
Three species of spider or just three spiders?
Because people probably know where they are if there are only three poisonous spiders in North America. There's probably some NSA dude whose only job is keeping tabs on those three spiders.
You know I think I can make a top 10 goty list if I include both boardgames and video games that did not come out this year, which will be way more indicative of what I actually played and enjoyed this year than a list of just video games that came out this year.
Think I'll work on that when I get home. Figuring out how to rank boardgames vs videogames will be interesting.
are we giving luke shit about killing a spider in his own home
bc if i saw a goddamn spider in my house you bet your ass it'd be dead before i did anything else
spiders are the worst
they're giving me shit for crushing what i'm pretty sure was a spider corpse because i didn't want it to curse me with its dying breath if it wasn't all the way dead yet
Well, spiders outside live until they actively start building webs over the only remaining walkway after giving an entire stair well over to them already.

And again
And again
And doing something slightly different each time
let's fucking do this
I mean, not now because I have to make this 12 hour drive to purgatory, but at some point

Doing it on my own is kind of a last resort
YUNE IN TO FIND OUT, PUTTY PATROLLERS
i am like 90% sure it was already dead
regardless i ain't fucking around with anything that might be poisonous
if i know for a fact that a spider is harmless then sure whatever but if i don't recognize the type of spider i'm not taking a chance

The answer is three
Fine ruin my dumb pedantry, see if I care
ALPHA
BRING ME MY ZUNE
Look as long as that fucking Paul McCartney christmas song is dead last everything is okay
Ha-HA pedantry!

Wait, what's the third?
and i live in a state with brown recluses and i ain't no spider expert so if i see a weird lookin' brown spider, i am, again, not gonna take a risk
and, again, i am almost positive it was already dead

The Hobo Spider!
Though a little digging says it's inclusion on the list is somewhat in dispute, but better safe than sorry
according to the podcast it was already dead and also ants were carrying it to their queen
this is the audio record and therefore indisputable
prrrrrrrrrrobably
we gotta do teens with attitude tonight but i might bang out a let's place afterward

Noooooooo spiders kill all the bad bugs that give you diseases and make you all itchy
And they are actually super unaggressive unlike those fucking wasps, the spiders arch-nemesis
Spiders inside die.
