Dio and Lemmy wouldn't fight. They would perform epic metal concerts together.

They did! I was there! The Metal Masters Tour was fucking epic in all the best possible ways. The wall of sound was enough to knock you on your ass if you didn't respect it and the studs on Halfords jacket and pants where shined enough to make you blind!

One of the immortals has fallen.

Now I'm curious who will go first, Ozzy or Keith Richards.

Ozzy better make it to April so I get to see him live.

One day all the metal greats will be dead, and Hell will officially be too cool for any of us. We'll all be sent to Heaven with the nerds and losers, instead.

I only know, like, three Motorhead songs, but I can recognize the influence and impact he's had on the metal world.

RIP Lemmy, you've had a good run, but in the end, we are all

I am listening to Motorhead at work

I think Lemmy would appreciate the inherent desperation in listening to him wreck musical face while I sling keystrokes for the man

I love the part where they do the YMCA.

I have realized that I legitimately enjoy the Village People.

    It is my greatest shame.

Kinda amazed and a bit saddened this did not garner more responses.

Folks either are not into Metal or just too young. No idea.

Anyway here's to to the man. In HD.

I feel this is an appropriate tribute to Lemmy. A friend sent me this

This is awful :( I'm going to have Motörhead songs in my head the rest of the day, which itself is not awful, but will be sad. Which is a new experience when listening to that stuff.

Never in my life I'd have thought to have to bump a "Lemmy died" thread.

Well...until I saw this thread, I had never heard of him before. Perhaps the number of people on this forum that do know and are affected by his passing is just small.

The band is officially over too. Good on them, there was no replacing Lemmy.

There's not much to be said really.

Lemmy was always the epitome of rock 'n roll musician to me.

I kind of get the impression there just isn't much to say. He was old and had been sick for a while I guess.

As shocking as it is because Lemmy seemed immortal, in the end he was just a man and lived a long life for how he took care of himself.
