Best Tacos I've ever had were from a place called Super Torta in Oregon City. It's this tiny out building thats been owned by the same guy for 40 years, and it's all authentic. They serve tongue tacos, and they are quite good.

La Palma is a garish green building that is off the main road

on the outside at night it looks like a good place to get stabbed

on the inside it's like "hey did i get transported to a small town in mexico cause this place is pretty authentic" (read: it's a dump)

its patrons are chiefly day laborers and the tacos are delicious in a way that cannot be described in any mortal tounge

I think there's a marketing niche for pink-dyed taco shells

also: flesh colored beige wide cigarettes, called "Pole"

    we can make this work

I don't think I've ever had a taco anywhere but homemade.

I don't know how this happened.

I really like making homemade tacos. Sure, they aren't as good as going out to a good taco joint, but you can put as much shit in there as you want. Plus, you can get a total glutton. And hamburger with those good taco spices makes such good smells for the whole apartment.

    I live in California.

We have a buttload of really good taco places

If anyone there hasn't been to a Tacos El Grullense (SP?) then they should, it's really fucking good.

Even better, the person who looks after my sisters apparently knows every Hispanic in the state, at least judging by her connections.

We have Taco Tuesday at a bar near my work, if I work late I'll always go there for a cheap meal.
Two free tacos if you say the secret word which gets delivered via Myspace bulletin and is usually "Salsa" or some shit, then all tacos for $1 and burritos for $2 which is actually stupidly cheap around here.

They also give away free pizza every monday.

I will admit that you get more food in Burritos, but tacos are far better.

Enchiladas are great, tostadas are great, taquitos are great, tacos are great, burritos are great...

all this fighting is tearing us apart!

Sopapillas are really good too. Those desert things coated in sugar that you dip in honey.

If you go to the right place they are excellent.

So we are all of the opinion that mom and pop Mexican restaurants are much better than chain poop, at least most of the time.

Cancun is such a good, delicious place for me to eat some tacos/burritos

Man, I remember when the big thing at taco bell was their "new" double decker tacos...

Because it was a hard taco...inside a hard taco.

    And it was mind blowing.

adovada... is that like the stewed or marinated meat or something

the only place I've ever seen that is from Tijuana street vendors, and I'm not about to try it there
