    This is generally how you do those 'prank' shows; yeah, one person freaked out real good, but the previous four that didn't aren't shown. I mean, you film a lot of people.

    I have a buddy who happened to walk into a situation like that, and after a while caught on. He was very pleased with himself, and couldn't wait for it to air. Spoiler: he was very disappointed when his segment wasn't shown. Which was fun, since everyone had told him that, dude, your bit won't air, they're not interested in that.

    EDIT: I don't know why that turned into a quote (at least here?) - go forums.

    i love that gif because it perfectly encapsulates that scenario where you try and do something short-cutty but it ends up costing you way more time, then you start entering sunk cost fallacy, then it all falls apart, and you've nobody to blame but your idiot self for not just doing it properly
