Liam probably doesn't remember, since the LP was years ago, but Eternity was also used in Barkley: Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden, as the boss theme for Vinceborg. The insanity of that song meshes with Barkley way better than with Blue Dragon, and the boss fights in Barkley are way shorter.
On the subject of fighting game characters that damage themselves as a main mechanic, I do remember one, though it's super niche. The most recent Touhou fighting game - Urban Legend in Limbo - has a character named Mokou who has that sort of mechanic. She's immortal, has fire powers, and isn't fireproof, so the majority of her moves has her take damage, leaving behind white health, and she can recover white health by using one of her attacks, which has her explode and then regenerate. It's an interesting mechanic. Her unique skill has her just set herself on fire, so she's even stronger, but constantly taking damage.

Watching Pat get his ass whooped by small groups of basic enemies makes me feel a lot better
I hadn't played a Souls game in two years when 3 landed. That he plays them on the reg and still gets whipped by small groups makes me feel like maybe I'm not outclassed by him in DS when we're both at similar levels of comfort with the controls

Yes. It does.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Oh my god Pat didn't even exhaust Siegward's dialogue. (And was wrong about who he was, par for the course.)
He's not going to complete a single NPC quest, is he? And I mean, don't get me wrong, they get obtuse as fuck... but he's not gonna finish a single one.

According to the podcast Woolie will be referencing the cheat sheet and kind of nudging Pat in the right direction when appropriate

If you say you did all the NPC quests in your first run through a Souls game, you are a dirty dirty liar
they were so excited about lucatiel's armor they failed to notice the item hidden in the breakable crate next to it, the stamina regen rate boosting ring :rotate:
