Forbidden stars is a boardgame made by Fantasy Flight, set in the Warhammer 40K universe.

It emphasises balancing control of the board as a means of producing units, with aggressively capturing areas holding your objective markers. Building influence and infrastructure grants access to higher tier units and enables you to upgrade those that you have, and issue more sophisticated orders to the units you control. You can play as one of four 40K factions, each with their own units, upgrades, advantages and quirks.

The order system relies on placing markers face down in the areas you want them to have their effect, but others (including you) can place other orders on top of them that will be resolved first, meaning you can bluff, sabotage, and otherwise interfere with the carefully laid plans of your opponents.

Also, just look at it.

That looks complicated. Give me Yahtzee or Scrabble and I'm happy.

It's working really well, I think.

it's time consuming, but it smooths out real nicely.

Damn that The Division PC port sounds BALLIN
    Bullet points

completely customisable UI - resize and reposition every HUD element.

multiple monitors support - you can move UI elements to one screen and keep one screen completely free for example.

seamless switch from keyboard and mouse to controller.

    multi-GPU support from launch.

    unlocked framerate.

    no mouse acceleration/smoothing.

text chat and proximity voice chat.

uPlay lets you invite your Steam friends into your Uplay Friends list and find people you recently played with.

supports LED keyboards (example: the button that is mapped to your medkit will begin to flash when you're low on health. You can also map a key for teammates, and it too will flash when they are in need of support)

menus properly support mouse - to the point that you can equip gear by dragging and dropping pieces from your inventory onto the character model.

exclusive feature to the PC version - Parkour Mode, in which gamers press a button and their agent can continuously leap over barriers.

Seamless switching from keyboard and mouse to controller is actually ballin'

My favourite way to play GTA has been doing just that - I drive and generally move around with the controller, and then when it's clear a firefight's breaking out I switch to FPS and KBAM

It is absolutely the best of both worlds and getting to experience it that way has rekindled my love of the game

Yeah, I was doing this with Dying Light near the end of the game. Most of the time it's melee combat and parkour, so the controller is way better, but occasionally you're inside and shooting humans who are shooting at you, so I switched to KBAM for that part because I can't aim a gun with a controller to save my life.

@So It Goes BTAS is great. Along with great animation that I think is only equaled by JLU, it stands apart from the rest of the DCAU in having a really deliberate, cinematic pace. It doesn't feel all rushed and coked-up. The stories are simple and iconic and don't rush past the big moments.

The original Batman cartoons in the 90s were just streets ahead of everything else on TV at the time, cartoon-wise.

I am pretty sure I could go back and enjoy them now - something I cannot say for pretty much any of the other dreck I enjoyed when younger.

These suave and flippant dialogue options in Alpha Protocol are pretty fun already.

How much do you think it would cost to hire Jon Benjamin to record a voice over DLC pack? I'll pay it.
