Tickets
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2016-pre-pax-dinner-the-merchant-tickets-22495463537
The ticket price this year is $31.50 + Eventbrite fee, kids meal tickets (ages 3-12) are $18 + Eventbrite fee. I'm going through Eventbrite, this service has been used for other PAX events and seems to work well. Ticket prices cover cost of apps, dinner, tax, tip and fees. Advance purchase required, tickets will not be available at the door.
When you arrive, please provide your printed ticket. If for some reason you can't provide the ticket then have the email confirmation, .pdf, photo ID, or something that shows that you are who you say you are so we can get everyone quickly checked in.
What to wear…what to wear?
Anything that you want…it’s a casual event so have fun with it!
Final Note
I will not make a profit on this event and if at any time there is any doubt about this I will be more than willing to post all expenditures. If there is extra money at the conclusion of the event these remaining proceeds will be donated to Child's Play.
Thank you all and see you all at The Merchant!

Yes, last year I made sure there were a vegetarian (non-salad) and gluten free options on the menu. We did plated meal and apps, which seemed to work out great. As it gets closer I will update with the menu items, and any feedback is welcome!
-Any protein selection (chicken, fish, beef) prepared cleanly (little to no grease, not fried)
-If side dish needs hard carbs (rice/bread) make it brown rice or whole wheat.
-Beverages that have no processed sugar in it.
That being said, a lot of people think healthy food tastes like cardboard and that couldn't be further fromt he truth. I look forward to a nice clean meal option in this PAX dinner.
PAX East Attendee - 2015, 2016
I've narrowed it down to two places - The Merchant and The Tap Trailhouse. I've checked out Merchant, the food is good and the private dining area is a good size. I'm meeting with the event rep this week for Trailhouse, and will try out the food when I'm there. I will have the final dets and ticket up by the weekend.
Yes, both locations allow minors. This is an all ages event, however, they are both restaurants with bars, so there will be alcohol available for those over 21 who want to partake.
The Merchant is the front runner right now as there is a dedicated private dinning area and their event staff has been easy to work with. I'm trying to get in today or tomorrow to The Tap TH so I will have a better idea of the dining area as opposed to just looking at the photos online.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to post a question, PM me, or you may also send messages to me via the Eventbrite page - once its live.
UPDATE 3/20: I'm waiting for the Tap's rep to send me the menu dets and final rates, was hoping to have this all wrapped up by today, will keep you all posted.
Yes, merriment shall be had! I did an icebreaker type game last year to make it easier to mingle and meet new people, I think it went well, so I will look to do something like that again.
There isn't much room to actually play games in the restaurant though.
All are welcome! It's a great way to meet people from the forums and other attendees.
My friend and I are in the same situation. We'll be at the Sox game and then we'll be looking for something to do. What better way to kick this weekend off than to meet some of you and have a bit to eat.
That's cool....the PPD counts as a party too!
ha! So of course I didn't wait for it to go through before I closed the screen, and it dropped my ticket...now I have mine!
Thanks :P
Since the group is expected to be large I need your meal selection several days prior to the event - you can send me a message via Eventbrite when you by a ticket or pm me here. If your undecided or forget so make a selection about a week out I send reminders.
