Seriously if the Pirates' financials are so dire that they needed to give away two decent prospects for limited salary relief, then that says a lot more negative about the Pirates’ future than the actual trading of the prospects.
They still got glasnow, along with a young outfield thats arguably the best outfield out there. It doesn't help that the NL Central is always super competitive, but they'll work their way back up
Puig’s agent, Adam Katz, and Dodgers officials said that my initial report — that Puig stormed off after arriving at Dodger Stadium and being given the news — was inaccurate.

Looks like I'll only have Aaron Sanchez for 1 or 2 more starts before he's sent to the bullpen.

Well yes, they didn't trade any of their top...6 or so prospects, so it's not like total gloom and doom. It's just concerning, is all.
Even if it isn't doom and gloom, it's still a horrible sign to show fans considering the Liriano contract was the first really pick one they signed in the FA market (might be highest ever).
Just makes no sense why the hell you would make that trade, especially including McGuire when he was your catcher of the future.
I was fine with all the other moves, and then this one reaks.
Kinda disappointed the Tigers didn't get anyone at the trade deadline. Another starter would have helped immensely. Wouldn't have had to be someone amazing, just a 4th/5th starter.

I'm not sure what's sadder... That I lost the best player on my team or that the best player on my team was Trevor Story.

Surgery on his thumb. Still, 27 home runs in 372 ABs is an impressive start. Definitely good enough for 2nd/3rd in the NL ROTY, depending on how Matz and Seager finish the year.

With my best offensive player dead and my best pitcher being sent to the bullpen I'm basically fucked the rest of the year.

red sox give up 5 runs in the 8th and lose 5-4, benintendi strikes out looking on 3 pitches to end game, then hanley ramirez injures his wrist slipping down the fucking steps to the clubhouse postgame
not a great night

They also got intro'd to Edwin Diaz in his new closer role. And Diaz is inhuman right now.
50 Ks in just over 25 innings - fastest to that number of any debut in the league since 1893.

On one hand, GO MARINERS! I watched Diaz' first relief appearance and the whole time, just, holy FUCK.
On the other hand, screw these god damned 4 and 2 game series.

Nola just got put on the DL and might be shut down for the year so if you want to cancel that trade I understand.
EDIT: If you wouldn't mind it, I think I would like to cancel it.
